Getting too much air in atty?

I recently purchased a 510 starter kit that came with 2 attys.

One atty produces great vapor. The other... not so much. I'm currently trying to figure out why this is happening.

On the atty in question, when I take a drag... it feels different than the good atty. When I take a drag, it's as if there's very little resistance in the atty... like there's too much air getting in there. I tried placing my thumb and forefinger over the spot where the atty connects to the battery, and I noticed a difference. It was harder to drag, and I got a bit more vapor production.

The atty is securely connected to the battery, but somehow too much air keeps getting in there. I do not get this problem at all with the other atty. The good atty gives a good drag resistance, and produces a lot of vapor.

I know the battery/atty connection is designed to let some air through, but I really think there's too much air passing through that connection.

On a side note, it seems as if no matter what cart I put on the atty in question, the cart seems looser than the carts on my other (good) atty. I don't think too much air is getting in the atty/cart connection, because when I tried my thumb/forefinger trick on that spot, it had little or no effect.

Has anyone experienced this before? Are some attys just poorly designed? Do you think I am diagnosing the problem correctly?

Thanks,
Odyssey
