Bristow, Ok.
My GGT Storm got lots of attention on the cruise but it was a lot of work to keep it shining. It may have been caused by my sweaty hands. I am not sure. My button stopped working once and I thought I must have lost a magnet but they had just turned black and had to be cleaned. I don't think my hands sweated that much but after a good cleaning of the inside of my button it was working perfect again. We are home now and my GGT Storm is beautiful. I passed out lots of Rob's cards but I needed some of Lisa's too I think. A lot of people that got cards were German I think. :):):)

Hope you had a good time Stormy, I bet it was the salt air that made the oxidation happen faster than you are used to. I know when I am working on the water I can watch as my button turns different shades of brass throughout the day. It starts out all nice and shiny and by the end of the day it is needing a shine again. No problem for me though as I can walk by the high speed buffer and hit it for a second and back to normal.....

Glad you knew what to do to get it working again. I had the same troubles last week. Could not figure out why I kept getting misfires and come to find out it was dirt inside my button. I use mine at work all day and they get a little grimmy ... but hey that is what makes them so nice, I can take it all the way apart and clean it.....

I am looking forward to seeing your pics of the gg in exotic places... On you cruise that is...hehehheh...

Pm me your email address and I will send pictures probably tomorrow. I have so much to do today. I was really surprised the inside of the button got so corroded the magnets quit working. I didn't think that could happen. It was easy to fix though. I love my GG and AFS so much. :):):)

Glad you had a good trip with your GG :) I think mine wants to travel too, just have to figure out where it wants to go!

It may not want to go to an island unless you bring cleaner with you. I am just glad I am fanatic about keeping mine clean or I may have been in trouble. :):):)

Nice to see you back in town Stormy!!! I was wondering where you were :).
Glad to see that you are back with you GG and enjoyed your trip!

Thank you my friend. We had a great trip. I have some great GG pictures in San Juan. It didn't take long for my GG to get dull though. I am just glad I started taking my pictures early in the day. :):):)

I am glad you are back Stormy, we all missed you for sure. GG forum is poor without you and your shiny personality.:)
I am sure that you had a very good time and I hope that you came back stronger and healthier from this trip.
As for button, yes I notice that too. Magnets got dirty and I saw small iron pieces there. I think that magnets collect those small pieces from anywhere so button needs cleaning every now and then. And as Vapn said , thats the best thing with GG. Anyone can fix it very easy and the only thing that it needs is cleaning like babies:D:D

It will never double cross the owner!

It never double crossed me for sure. I think the salt air on the islands caused it to get dirty quicker. It seemed to be worse in San Juan for some reason. Maybe I just sweated more or something. My AFS stayed shiny. I think because I didn't touch it as much. After a good cleaning it is good as new. :):):)
