Hi Everybody :)

I received my GG yesterday and when i inserted the batteries and then connected the atomizer it gave power to the atomizer immidiately without pressing the button, i narrowed the problem down to the front cap (button end) the centre of the button cap has no insulation, so when i screwed the cap on, the allen key screw on the button was pressing against bare metal, i solved the issue by wrapping insulating tape around the allen key screw head and inserting tape into the button cap itself. works fantastic but its not ideal.
is there a piece of insulating material missing from the centre of the button cap? also are the caps meant to have rubber o rings? mine do not, and i thought the end caps were meant to be brass judging by the pics on Tim's website.
I also burned out
three 801 attomizers in 20mins, i'm thinking this is a brand issue and i have ordered two more from Simon at e-cigs.co.uk, will test them when they arrive.
901 and 501 atomizers work great from Jason at Totally Wicked, this is a fantastic device and the service from Tim has been superb, i did e-mail him explaining these faults but i guess he's a busy fella at the moment.

Thanks for reading

Alan

Alan the burned attys are bad labels, you are right. As for the insulant in front cap, yes it must be there. If there is no insulant, someone take it away (no way):D or I forgot to put one there:oops:. Please tell Tim to send you a new front cup. As for the black grommets, there is no problem because I put them only because I want to have balance to front caps for some GGs. If you have no grommets you are ok as the ones witch have.:)

Many thanks Imeo, i will e-mail Tim tonight :)

Hi Alan!

I emailed you earlier (18:37) but there was a photo in the email so it may be taking a while to reach you. We'll sort the rest via email - I know what the problem is and we'll get you up and running in no time.... :)

Cheers

Tim

I had a worrying 10 minutes just now trying to unscrew the battery end cap which had become seemingly locked in place. It did eventually give - has anyone else had this experience? Is there a remedy and/or is this preventable?

Having just checked my GG has no O rings on both the caps which presumably help prevent overscrew?

Also Sakis, I'm interested in the lockable button. Does your offer to replace this stand for all GG owners who pay the price you ask and postage cover?

Sakis's reply/answer:

All threads in any machine maybe stick if they are dirty. So when you unscrew it, take a wet paper and clean them. They will be like new. (and dont screw tight, there is no reason for this).

As for the secure button, I really want to help all people but its too painful guys because I have to go to the post office every day for each of you. The best way is to full update the GG when I finish with the auto feeding system. There are no updates then because there is no other e-cig problem to solve. (exept the attys, but if I make one, I will just send it to you.)
