Emma is experiencing the same problem that a lot of us Provari users are with the rebuildable being too tight to get the center pin low enough and then with removing the rebuildable from the base. We really need a thinner o ring on the post. Anyone have any suggestions? I experienced the locking issue for the first time and I don't want to have ruin my coil every time I want to remove the rebuildable to clean my coil.

Rivernut,

Is it the bottom ceramic assembly locking in the bottom of the tank?

I have a solution for it now if that's your problem. Basically take a small flathead and twist the positive post a tiny bit through the bottom where it connects to the ProVari. For whatever reason this completely releases the tension and a the cup assembly comes out smoothly. It's pretty incredible.

Also I've found that a little vaseline on the bottom o-ring stops the nut from spinning when taking the cup assembly out and prevents a lot of the locking issue.

You also never need to remove the cup assembly if you are cleaning. It's not necessary. Only time you need to remove is when you are changing the coil completely.

Sorry...having Internet connection issues now lol .
Killjoy, any idea on where I might look for an o ring this tiny?

Ezkill, it was you that was having a time with this wasn't it. And I remember reading the post with the solution but I thought you were talking about loosening the little round nut inside the ceramic so that's what I did but I had to remove the coil first. And yeah I guess I could have put the coil back but I kinda messed it up removing it. Anyway, I didn't realize you were talking about the center pin at the connection! That's a much easier solution...Emma I hope you read this :).
I'll definitely give that a try next time it locks on me. I did lube the o ring with some juice before I put it back together this time so we'll see if that works. If it doesn't I'll try the Vaseline bit. But I think I also want to find some thinner orings. It'd be nice not to have to apply so much force when trying to get the pin deep enough to make contact.

And as always, I really appreciate the help guys

solution is posted by me on GG forum. I also made a video about it River. You need a 1,78x1,78 o-ring:)

thats exactly my opinions too snork. I made Penelope to be like this
For me, I like the draw better on Penelope than Odysseus. It's a little tighter, and the mouthpiece directs the vapor with a pinpoint very warm blast.

Flavor to me is equal, and coil building is essentially the same. These are my opinions.

What I didn't realize is that while it's nice to have an extra ceramic or two kicking around, they are largely not a disposable item. Unless you drop your Penelope onto concrete from a great height or something else tragic happens the odds are you will have the ceramic for the life of the Penny.
