So I'm hoping my GGTS will arrive today. USPS tracking has not been tantalizing at all. Not a single update. Alas. But I'm holding out hope nonetheless.

Here's the thing. I've realized I know basically nothing about different kinds of batteries and atomizers.

I ordered the following:

TrustFire TR-001 multi-function lithium-ion battery charger
2 of : UltraFire ICR123A 3.7v 880mAh protected lithium-ion rechargeable batteries (package of two)

And I got an HV 901 atomizer (SLB)

When available, I'll be getting some imeoatties based on hype alone. ;) And the same for the 18650 high drains.

Are there certain 3.7V batteries and 3.0V batteries that are better? Should I get some higher mah batteries and will they last a lot longer? Or is there such a thing as too high mah?

Can someone explain what atomizer resistance is and why different resistances work better (or not at all) at different voltages?

Anyway, this is fun. I notice an enormous gap in my education. Always nice. ;)

Minus the atty, that is the exact same set-up I have. It works great with my GGT, and I'm sure those batteries will work great with the GGTS we are both expecting in the mail. :)

One atomizer is a critical shortage! They don't last very long at 7.4 V (for me, anyway). Considering shipping times, I would order a couple more immediately just for piece of mind. Since it's a GGTS, you can try a few different types of atty to see which you like best. I'm currently experimenting with cartomizers on my GGT.

I'm no battery expert, but the mAh rating (milli-Amp hours) is just the length of time a battery can put out "X" amount of power. Think of it like the size of a fuel tank. I don't think you could have too high of a mAh rating.

The thing with the high drain battery is the C rating. That is the amp draw they can handle. The new high drains can output twice the power the standard liIon can. Very good for low resistance atty that pulls more amps than a high resistance atty. I am noticing a huge difference in the time it takes to drain my battery on a new super high resistance atty at 5.5 ohms. What usually is a two hour battery is about a 6 hour battery. No lie and the vapor output is a lot better.

So yes take quasimod's advice and order yourself more atties. I get mine in fives. There is always going to be one or two that don't last long and some that last weeks. Not more than two weeks max.

You will see the differnce in high voltage and normal vaping voltage very soon. The only way to discribe it is burnt taste. keep em wet, that is all I can say.

Ok, just got my GGTS a few minutes ago and its gorgeous. I have one 901 5v Atty and two 3.0v 750 mah lifepo4 batteries. Now here might be the dumbest question ever, but where does the juice go? Ive only used a tornado in the past, and I cant figure out where to put the juice? Did I miss purchasing something else I need? HELP, its in my hands, batteries charged and I cant use it, lol.

Or, you can do without the filler entirely and just direct drip right straight into the atomizer! That's all I ever do, check the link in my sig for more details.

Also, cartomizers fit right on there too, if you put that little brass adapter on it. They get really hot, and you have to keep them wet, and they don't last as long as they would at 3.7 volts, but they will do in a pinch.

Y'all are so helpful. Thank you! :D

I'm actually kinda surprised at how long 1 3.7V battery lasts. I thought that 880 Mah would not last very long (just based on the mahs of other batts), but it has lasted hours and continuing. I'm also pretty happy vaping at 3.7V. I don't know if it's the shiny smoothness of the new toy in my hand that makes it seem more powerful than my Kr8 batts, but it does seem more consistent and more vaporful. I'm going to have to recheck when the novelty wears off. I'm totally impressed by the aesthetics of the experience. lol

Also, I had to try 7.4V. I've used a kr8 carto at 7.4 and it's great but only in short bursts. Anything more than 2-3 seconds does yield the slight burnt flavor, in my experience, of course. Can't wait to get one of those imeoatties. And for those high drain guys to be back in stock. :D

Fanky, did you get your vape rolling?

Dont forget to keep it clean, especially the internal threads of the first big tube and you will have the same best experience always.

Happy vaping my new friend:)
