Hey imeo, how much power does an LED really divert from the atomizer? Give me a simple answer, as I am but a simple person. I'm talking about those small red or blue ones--not the flahlight ones MadDog used.

Tats are mostly asian--crane and snake and plum flowers for wing chun style kung fu. I want to get the Hawaiian island chain on my chest, where I'm born and raised.

I tried these leds and first I put them in series with atomizer. My
first thought that maybe a 3v led will take the 3 v from the
battery and the other volts will go to the atomizer. But the led
was working (until it burns and the atomizer did not fired up. I
wanted that way because I have found a way to put a led without
wires!!!

My second thought (and the right one of course) was to put the led
in parallel with battery. No wires again but the led would be near
the atomizer but I wanted the led in front of the GG absolutely.

Then I thought to put a second battery with the led, a button sell
battery. Very nice idea, no wires again but I wanted to keep the
dimensions small, and the worse was that if you wanted to change
the led, it would be a very dificult thing for most of people.

I have said from the begging, "imortal" and "repairable" with 1
euro cost, these were my concerns. (exept the look, witch was my
big concern too).
So about the led and how much battery "eats". In one test I did,
the led eats 1,5-3v, (I bought 1,5v led but with 3v worked better)
that means that only 4,5-3v would remained for the atomizer, so I
must put a bigger battery, so a big in length GG will occur and
more complicated because the led must touch only the one battery,
(if touches the two or three batteries will burn out with all these
volts.)
Conclusion. No led.

ps..... if the led eats 3v, if we knew the resistance of the led I
would told you the current witch goes through the led and finally
how battery would eat, so we would find the life of the battery.
But every time I put the polymeter to the led it does no show
anything. The only way to see the current through the led, is to
put the led and the polymeter in series with a battery and count
the current.
When you count the current, then I=V/R, so now you know the current
(I), you know the (V) so you do V/I and you have just found the resistance of the led.
If for example the led's resistance is 3,7 ohm, like an atomizer has, then the battery will last the half hour than if had no led.
I tired to write all this in English my friend and I hope I helped.
I tried to be the more specific I could

A normal panel (not torch) LED, high brightness and low current, needs no more than 10mA tops. 1/100 or less of the current used by the atomizer. So can be used in series with a 330, 470 or 560 ohm resistor, parallel to atomizer. No problem.

Thanks kinabaloo for the info, I appreciate this, but mjp808 asked for a non Madog led but for the "these red and blue ones".

I really did not know about the other leds you said, but all the other reasons stopped me from putting a led to the GG :)

But I saw that the registance you say is very big 330 ohm? (atomizer=3,7), so the battery will not last at all

I want to say something about GG.

GG is in a state that we dont know exactly how it will goes in the next months or years. I say this because other e-cigs have tested by the users and we saw what is happening, good or bad.

So I want to say to the buyers this:
I have it for 2 weeks and all goes very fine. But we dont know many things about the button, that concerns me a lot. All the other stuff is made by me, so I think that never something will occure.

But the parts are made by me and the button (not made by me) are things that must be tested. Only the use will show up if something is wrong or not wrong. Its like PG, we dont know exactly but we are in a good way.

I dont want to scare anyone, only to have in mind that ALL THINGS MUST BE TESTED. Its like the cars, the companies test them and the rest of tests are done by the buyers. If a problem occurs, then all the cars goes back to the company or for repair.

I dont care if you send me back the GG for repair if you dont understand what I will tell you through the forum, the repair will be for free, but I just want to inform about what will maybe happen.

After all I am almost sure that nothing will happens;):)

Now some things about the GG usage.

1) The GG is a powerful tool that "drinks a lot". That means that
you mustn't leave it without liquid in the catridge.

2) It works much better with direct dripping. Thats the opossite
that others said about the 901 atomizer. The GG works better that
way. That does not mean that his performance is not good with
refilling catridges, of course not, but if you want the best
results, then drip it!!!

3) If you see that the long inhales send very big kick to your
throat, then take smaller inhales. We have the power and we use it
as we like.
4) I saw that for heavy users the 2 direct drips per 15 inhales
(one real cigarette) is a good amount of liquid.
5)The nice thing with batteries is that they get charged in 2-2,5
hours. You will not wait many hours for charged batteries.
6) I have notice from other home devises that if a button gets old
maybe it needs more push to make the connection. If this happens to
GG then just push a little harder. (Maybe you will never need this
advise, because if a button fails nothing can fire up it).
7) Dont open for fun the front case, but only to change the button
when required. The connection maybe not be established well and you
will look for what did go wrong!!!
8) put the batteries with the "nose" to the button. This ensure
that the connection will establised all the time.

Thats all guys.;)

ps... very soon I will make a "how to" video to show all the constraction from the beggining to the end

I may sound dumb, but I need to know. What does the batteries with the "nose" to the button mean? I don't understand nose to batteries mean. What is the nose of the battery? + or -

You are not dumb, my english is dumb. By the nose I mean the (+):)

The (+) is to the button and the (-) to the atomizer. It works at the opposite of course but it will make contact for sure

As I continue my tests, I see some things and I write them. Tonight I discover that GG cant drown when I put 5 directly drips. It works better!

Maybe its not a good method because liquid will go to the battery connector and get lost but it was just a test.

But I check the battery connector and it was dry after 1 min, 2 min and 3 mins.

Thanks kinabaloo for the info, I appreciate this, but mjp808 asked for a non Madog led but for the "these red and blue ones".

In other words, the standard low amp ones/non-flashlight type. Even the tiny stock one on the chip that glows the tip. I can't imagine it wastes much power. I know youre done with the GG, I'm not trying to question your design. I'm wondering if I should incorporate one into my next mod.

It just occured to me that there may be a practical reason to put one flashlight/high output type LED on a mod. Powered by it's own switch, you could use it to help see when you are refilling the cartridge, so you don't get that gurgley mouthful of juice when you overflow. An e-cig/mini-flashlight.

On a side-note, I ordered a CREE flashlight from DealEx--holy sht that thing cranks lumens! This is the first time I have seen this CREE technology--they are SO bright!

imeo, your english is fine. we here in the US really appreciate and respect the fact that the rest of the world knows at least 2 languages. My girlfriend is from the Czech Republic and when I hear her speak in Czech, it blows me away.
