I tought we would have the luxury of going VV or remove the electronics from Proteus?

Is it my memory that is defective....or yours?

I read that too, you are supposed to be able to remove the VV module/electronic part of the Proteus.

As for the GGTB there will always be a use for it.
+1 dspin!!!

you're right lawn...the capability will be there, but it's possible that the all mechanical button will come out in a later batch after the vv switch.

EDIT: actually, i don't know anymore....i've heard the vv was in the switch, but since vv was removable, a later released mechanical switch could take its place...but i've also heard that the switch is entirely mechanical, like all previous GG stuff, and imeo's currently waiting on the electronics which will not be in the switch. so who knows, but the all mechanical option will eventually be there for sure.

Quote from Imeo on P&P thread....

"This VV will be the usual VV that mods have kei. Its a button that drives the functions. Every function gives a different coulour of the leds inside the electronic part. But the things that are unique in the GG is that its slim so all people can carry it around, it has adjustable air like GGTS, adjustable liquid control via Penelope and adjustable voltage. And of course the big thing is that it has a mechanical button
All electronic devices suffer on their button. These buttons are small with very tiny springs inside and they are made for a specific number of pushes. The GG electronic part has a mechanical button that will never die and we will be able to clean it whenever we want or replace it without having to replace the electronic part. I also use the latest technology to make the electronics. So having the best electronics with a mechanical button is something that will make our electronic part to last much more that all the others. I tried hard to combine mechanical and electronics together and I finally did it.
So having a full adjustable thin device is what we all were waiting to my opinion. Even the electronic part can be removed from the main body and it can also be removed from its tube too. PP is not a ready product that you cant touch it. Its not made in a factory and it pieces are not pushed together so noone can open it and see what is going on. All its pieces (and the electronic part too) can be viewed by the user and can be changed by the user

We dont talk of course about the GGTS electronic module. Thats something that noone has seen before and I dont think that someone will buy anything else after this."

so... it's a mechanical button, either attached to or inside the vv switch circuitry. either it still requires a to-be-released all mechanical button to make it like other GG devices, or maybe it's in a separate, but connected housing to the vv switch that can still function when the vv is removed. maybe it's all still coming together, but all mechanical will be an option at some point.

There will always be a use for the TB - all mechanical, Proteus is not. I would always choose all mechanical first

I love the GGTB because it is all mechanical, in fact it is my daily pv when I'm not at home, just hope it will remain that way...
The only think that is annoying me is the fact that the SS tubes are much tighter than the Alu one... it is a pain to change batts...

Hi
Receive today my ggtb stainless tube, and the 17670 AW battery is really a tight fit, I even can't take the battery out without tearing both caps off an pushing the battery with a pen or something.
does anyone having the same problem?
I'm afraid to damage my batteries...
On the original alu tube smooth...

I've had similar issues, but with those 4.8v 17650 batts that Bruce carries. Like D, I typically use AW LiFePo4s in mine. Also love AW IMR 3.7v 16340s for 7.4v vaping.

Hi guys thought i would do a follow up on this thread as i have received the batteries now from here IMR17650-1200mAh 3.7V Rechargeable LiMn battery (2 pcs)

I ordered 2 packs which was 4 batteries they are imr which is good and the best news is they slide in and out of the tube perfect if you use the fuse upgrade like me you will need a 3mm magnet spacer as they are smaller than the black aw batteries but thats a good compromise.

Working great have three on charge and one in the ggtb i find its better than the aw black personally.
