GGTS AVS custom atties required?

Just a quick question, I was watching the youtube video you put up on the new GGTS design and you mention modified atomizers (901 and 510).

1. So will I need to purchase new atomizers specifically designed for the GGTS AVS?

2. Do you have pricing on these?

Im also assuming that the new atomizers will last longer because the tank always keeps them wet inside as well as keeps them cooler because the liquid surrounding the atty.

My current 510 atty has lasted me over a month and a half (I bought from a different supplier than I usually buy them from and it is a new experience for me to have an atty last longer than 2 weeks).

3. Any idea on the lifespan of the modified atty? Im thinking I might purchase 2 510's and 2 901's. Will that be enough for say 6 months?

I remember now - that's why we were all confused at the changes in the new GGTS AVS because we imagined it was going to look like that prototype.

Might be an idea to go through all your videos on youtube when you have a spare moment to rename them or put some description about the ones that are experimental and prototype models so that people don't confuse them with actual production models?

Clyde - I can't post in the reviews section, I think you've been a little misleading in your review about the GGTS AFS/AVS in terms of the atty situation too - it reads like you're saying special atties are required, so I can understand further confusion being created from that.
It's one of the issues we are trying to dispel because people out there do still believe it requires "expensive special atomisers" when it doesn't.

Let's see....I did mention that it does take regular 901 atties and cartos and that the attys made for this mod cost $13 and up. Please correct me if I'm wrong, but I didn't say that the mod requires the iattys.

When I read your post Clyde I saw 2 different opinions by you and I got confused. If Lisa got confused too then maybe other people will get confused. Maybe your post is ok but if you say what you wanted to say a little different it would be better. Just a thought

Okay, I edited the review to say a second time that the AFS can take 'off the shelf' 901's. Nowhere did I say or imply that it only takes iattys.

Yep, I indeed meant it was unclear or rather, ambiguous. Didn't mean to imply that you intended to mislead anyone - I know that was not the case at all and I apologise if that was the impression my post made.

Please understand that GG has a huge worldwide following, many of our friends and customers do not speak English as a first language and the slightest ambiguity throws them off and mis-understandings can quickly become facts to them and be propagated liberally on other forums.

For the non-US market, there are no specifically designed iAtties at all at the moment, apart from the version 1 with the laser holes although these have been out of stock for ages and I am unsure if Imeo has any plans to supply them again in the future.

And the mod may have evolved while I wasn't looking. At first, only the iattys were mentioned for the mod, then emonty burst onto the scene with his modded cartos. It was then reported that regular 901's appeared to work with the AFS without problems. Oh, and now the VK site says that off the shelfs will function in the AFS. Where was I when that memo got passed around?

Now's it gotten to the point where iattys may not be made anymore? Wow.

I guess it's all good. This way Imeo can spend his time working on new projects rather than designing custom attys and having them made. Also negates the possibility of shortages. Plus, I've always felt attys to be the weak spot of any PV design, it's probably well imeo not have to mess with them if he doesn't have to.

oops, yes, the evolution of any GG product can get very confusing and hard to keep up with because they are not static like many other offerings out there - I guess could be viewed as positive or negative depending on your perspective, although I know most GG peoiple definitely view is as a positive that GG products are constantly evolving.
I believe Imeo has been working hard on some new iAtties that resolve some of the shorting issues with classic atties, but he's been having trouble getting China to understand the requirements (a common problem )
But technically, no special atties required - I haven't had them in stock for ages now.
