200 grit sandpaper and hit the top of the bottom spring.

I knew I had seen this issue posted about before (fire button getting extremely hot) - happened to me last night (hadn't used my new chichi much, until I got decent batteries)..was glad to see this recent post. Will give it a try.. sounds simple enough..

Bottom Spring - that's soldered to bottom cap - right?

Correct, cap spring and post /switch contact end / +battery contact under head

Thanks - freaked me out - hard to explain - got pointedly hot, really fast too. No heat to the battery (that I yanked out quickly) and didn't even seem to maintain any heat to the switch either..

Will take her all apart and give her a sanding..

Please check to be sure the switch is tightly screwed to the body also. This could localize sudden heat.

Another fix you can do after sanding contacts is to remove the spring. Sand off the threads of a brass flat head screw till it almost fits in the post. Use a hammer and a few controlled taps and you have a fixed brass negative contact. Hard to remove without pliers. Cheap and easy solution, and it looks good.

I sanded down my extra switch I bought at Hoosiers last night and attempted to put it in my CCTS. There were more threads on the spare switch compared to the one that came with my CCTS. The entire switch ended up coming apart as I tried to tighten it.

Just a heads up for people thinking about buying a bunch of spare switches. In my case, the spare WOULD NOT fit. Whether they changed the switch threading on the newer GG clones or I just got a bad machined switch ... I have no idea.

I also bought spare switches that won't fit my CCST

So what do you guys think of the Drawtube? I'm looking into getting my first mechanical and can't decide between the KTS and the Drawtube lol

I really like my Drawtube, also like my Kamry CCST. The only thing about the Drawtube it is hard to Kick, inside diameter to big. I use the Drawtube without Kick and use Protank 1.8ohm,works good.
