Still looks GREAT. These are GG Clones :hubba: and the GG is gorgeous, Sooooooo we get the looks without the $. This being my first mechanical mod, I am very satisfied in the value for the buck. I also received good advice about moving to 1.5 Ohm single coil tank cartos rather than the 3.0 Ohms I am using on my Vamo. I now realize that the 1.5 Ohms will give me a hotter, tastier vape on the GG Clone and I can turn down my voltage and or wattage on my Vamo.

Turn down your voltage, but keep your watts the same on the Vamo. Next, build a <1.0 ohm coil, dump the Vamo, and be in vape heaven!

DUMP THE VAMO ?

Not until it dies my friend. I tested my GG Clone, polished it up, and put it away as my mechanical (apocalypse) spare.

VAMO is my everyday vape, going strong for 4 months now and loving it. Depending on actually how long it keeps working, I may not buy anything else except tanks, cartos and some juice (I mix most of my own). ProVari ? maybe in the future - I would like them to make a "plain Jane" ProVari in smooth stainless, like the Vamo. Love the clean look.

Stupid question: Did you remember that the threads are reversed. It screws in counterclockwise, just the reverse of a normal threading.

Just keep checking in with Hoosiervapes website or put it in a wishlist and they will email you when they are getting in more stock. Also do the same thing with Delaware Vapor: www.delawarevapor.com. They also are out of stock but coming in soon.

thanks for the reply guys. im eying the gold and chrome one..
so sanding down the chrome parts will change it all to gold?

Just depends how you refinish it but in general ... yes, you can polish it to get a gold like color (what I did on mine). Brass pretty much looks like gold, only darker and less shine. I used several dremel polishing bits and polish paste to achieve a lighter color.

If I wanted to do this by hand....what exactly would I need? I've never done anything even remotely
like that before, but if I find that I REALLY like this thing when I get it, I'd be interested in buying
a 2nd one and following your guidelines, if you feel like dealing with total n00b.
:D

Just a warning, I tried to polish up my Gold and Chrome with a light polishing wheel (not pressing hard on the buffing wheel at all) and the Gold finish is very poor (SUPRISE) ! It will come off easily. When I saw it not polishing, but being removed I quickly stopped. It still looks good and it still is gold in color, however I feel the gold finish will quickly become chrome in the future. As the critics say "You get what you pay for"

Anyone know anything about Ghost Modder parts? I'm new to GGs and mechanicals in general...

I see he is building his own brass mods as well. Any thoughts?
