Anyone know the inter setup of the #20?

I tired to blow the picture up so you can see it better. It works just like crxess said.

There's likely to be a flat portion of the switch that contacts those two posts to make the positive connection, meaning all electron flow is through that tiny contact area (flat on round). Unless they engineered a wedge design to slip between the posts, voltage loss will likely be an issue with that design. A spring-loaded wedge would alleviate that but it's unlikely in such a tiny area -- and the Chinese manufacturers don't seem to understand low-voltage-loss switching very well, or just don't care in the rush to get these products to market.

We are discussing this sigelei, and this issue in the Mech thread, you might be able to get more information there....as opposed to the GG show and tell thread.

Has anyone started to wear the chrome plating down? Got my CCTS from Karn's original Co-Op.

Nevermind the other stuff in the pic. I'm too lazt to take another picture rigbt now.

Sent from these thumbs to your face.

Yep, it will. This being a 'plated' base (chromed on brass), unlike an 'all SS', like a Sigelei (#8 in my case), it will start to wear-off eventually. Which is why we need to give it a bit of extra care.

Nice collection there!

I posted about this before but here goes again: The Chrome and Gold plating are both very thin. When I polished my gold plated KTS GG Clone, the color came off almost immediately. I have since used a Dremel Tool with a fiber type sanding disk to remove all of the chrome and gold from the middle tube and from the originally gold plated top portion. The underlying material appears to be copper, not brass. It will however polish up to a near gold color. How long it will stay that way is another question. Previous posts have shown how this looks, so I will not repost a picture. Do not use a lot of pressure or heavy grit paper to remove the chrome it will scratch easily. Fine Steel Wool will help and you will need a polishing wheel to get a mirror shine to the copper.

Is the 510 connection replaceable? Or can you buy a replacement? top capThe threads on mine have been wonky since I got it, now only my original aga t fits, the did, aga t2, did clone and phoenix barely make contact and won't grab the threads. I can get some atty's to work with scotch tape over the threads. I was gonna try thread tape used with plumbing. It was only 30 bucks, but I have done a lot of sanding and buffing its works awesome with very little voltage drop now. I even had my sister who is a jeweler make me silver contact posts for my atty's. I have an omega and sliver bullet, but I love my modded ccts.

Ethebull, You are absolutely correct. These KTS GG Clones or Storms as they are sometimes called are brass at their core. You need to keep polishing, polishing, polishing to get down to the brass core and they SHINE! :2cool: I have been using a polishing wheel with jewelers rouge (green) for a mirror finish. This is the way the Gold/Chrome KTS Clone should look after hours of polishing. Top and center tube now in all polished brass.

Took a closer view of the switches.
The CCTS switch indeed has a stronger, sturdier and robust design.
The knurled locking-ring is wider too. Gives added assurance on its durability for sure.

CONCLUSION
Overall, the KTS-GGTS seem very nice. Gives me good feelings. The construction is superb. Some nice machining there. I specifically chose the "dual-tone" model... and I'm thrilled at it's gorgeousness. The gold / chrome combination indeed is stupefyingly beautiful. It has some quality thread-work gone into it. Sliding the telescopic section, as well as fitting the top & bottom caps, is like slicing cheese with a butter knife... smooth. I've vaped the device (with an LR Boge F-16 only) for over 3-hrs now... and it has been quite satisfying. Needless to say, I'm impressed. This is a good-looking, powerful and efficient Mod. A head turner at that!

Hello again Qorax (ts'okay, I'm not cyberstalking you...yet ;-)

Thanks for those very cool unboxing & 1st look at your beautiful new "CHi CHi" pictures. Simply glorious. Relax, I'm not K&*^&'g your A*&...(certainly not after just a 2nd post...)
Y'see I just got my own KTS-GGTS in the mail today & I'm over the moon with it. Tomorrow I'm taking sandpaper to the firing connectors & end cap spring & then slowly start working on building my first coils for my new AGA-S RBA also in today's vapemail.

It's so nice to find a place where this wonderful, afordable, performance heavy Mech MOD is getting the respect & appreciation it richly deserves, instead of too many places where it gets trashed (for no real good reason - OH well, their loss, & their wallet's)

Well, back to pouring over threads, learning & finding out with each new page just how clueless I really am. Onwards & forwar---OOps! just tripped!!! ;-) lol

Catch ya on the flip side!

Salut! & Safe & Giddy Vaping To One & All! :headbang:

PS: YOu're right; it's a gorgeous switch!!!
