Damn wish I had my vape mail. Got a flat head kts and did clone in the mail from fasttech. Got both for 26$. Also got the nimbus clone and ody clone in the mail from them too!

How is the ody clone? I have had my eye on it, but was worried about the quality...

I look forward to hearing what you think about it...

There are two things on fasttech that look like Ody clones on the outside, but the interior/functionality
of both of 'em are far from what the Ody does, right?
Coudja link to the one that is closest to the Ody?

Other than the ones for sale in the classifieds you can always be sure to get the best ones at Stormys. They are the closest you will get to the real Odysseus. With eyes closed the taste and performance are indistinguishable.

Ody will last a lifetime and the Term will last a decade or so, as long as you dont drop it. Ody has solid parts and Term has joined parts such as the base. The term tarnishes faster, Ody is much better quality stainless so it will tarnish a LOT slower. All stainless, even the surgical will need some polishing eventually.

I just checked Fasttech and didnt see an Ody clone, but its easy to miss things, tons of stuff

Got a question, Like I posted Im waiting for the flat top. I just thought, is this basically ready for use out of the box? Seems there are many mech clones that are great and highly praised but almost all have to have some sort of modification done, from rebuilding the buttons, sanding down tops, etc.

I dont want to have to do anything to it. Especially getting brass shims etc or having to rebuild the switch. Thanks, I guess I should have asked before I bought it.

This is what I got

All I did to mine was sand the contacts. Now it is a really awesome device. One of my everyday mods!

The only thing I did was sand off the chrome on the spring post and the firing pin. It's a surprisingly good mod for the price. Plus for about $60 it's pretty easy to make it a hybrid.

What about the top, do most atties sit flush or is there a gap, Oh and are these stainless steel or plated chrome.
Thin plated, brass.. The mod kicks very well, low voltage drop out of the box. The flat top is a nice model. I started with a chi chi few months back in a c**p. I liked it so much, i got a #2 from the link you gave. The #2 is sitting in the shipping as back up. I liked it that much. I saw the flat top option & got that after #1 was slant sitting great with the IGO-L. The flot top gets my vote, as i have only that top on both.flat-top-g_n_c.jpg

Thanks for the info. Those are all a bit out of my budget right now, at least until I get better at building wicks
and coils and dealing with all the fiddly bits. I don't get to frustrated when I can't get a $6 RBA to work.
I'd be pulling out what little hair I have left if I couldn't get a $50+ device to blow my mind.
    ;)

How'd you get the flat top cap to sit flush on the bottom part of the tube, the bit with the housing for the switch?
I've got an 18350 and no fuse or kick in mine and there's a few mm of extension tube showing and it kinda irks me.
Everything is tightened up as snug as I can get it. Any more torque and I'm afraid I'd damage something....

There is a 6mm gap. iphone 4 picture & gold tube, poor lighting.. i am drinking.. Little gap in 18350 mode, top skirt off. The #2 I got says KTS engraved on the tube, over switch, it is what it is. This is just #1 & no engravings. The flat top was added after a month. Now it is topped with a dual coil dripper.

reminds me, i need more 18350 bats. they die in 40-60 minutes under this.
