a girl mention to me that the control ring of her GGTS was tight. If any other person have the same issue he can ask me to send him a new one with 10 euros shipped as my waranty says. No other person told me this but 1 person is enough for me.

I will make some extra rings after 1 month so if anyone has the same issue he can ask me to send him a new one:)

Hmmm. Not sure which style you will make. but-

My first GGTS is a new model (#992) and has a mostly smooth control ring.
My second one was bought used (#157) and has a knurled control ring.

I find it much harder to grip the smooth one- mainly due to problems with my right hand.
If you are making the knurled style and it will fit, I'd take one.

Neither of mine are really tough to turn though.

I see Roger. I always try keep in mind of almost all people's separatenesses when I make GGTS but this time I missed that and I made a smooth one because I could turn it easy. So I will make the knurled one again because it has better grip.:)

Also I found a very nice guy that nickel-plated my GGTS. His work was outstanding. I went to test it with the laserman to tell me his opinion. He said that the work was one of the best he had seen because laser didnt leave any spaces between the curves that was making on the surface of the GGTS. I will seriously think to nickel-plate the GGTS. I will send to this man 10 GGTS to see the result and I will deside.

Thanks, Imeo.

Some of the things I like MOST about Golden Greek products is the fact that you try lots of things, check into customer requests and development never stops.

There ARE disadvantages of course- being a small manufacturer who actually DOES have a life of some sort, demand is high and availability of devices and parts is a waiting game!

But it is well worth the wait as far as I am concerned, and once again I thank you.
BTW- I did swap out my CRs last night and no problem- perfect fit on both tanks.

No rush, but whenever you have a knurled cr for me, let me know.

As for a nickel GGTS-
Well, I am still more concerned with function than form so I'm not sure if I am in the market.
Of course I also said that with the cost of a GGTS/AVS I would probably never have a collection like those in the picture thread..... and now I have two. lol

LOL you just wait and over time the collection will grow even if you didn't plan for it. ;)

ohh nickel GGTS with brass battery cap, telescope tube & control ring and my clear AVS... I can see it now... looks pretty ;)

Imeo...make up a few knurled GGTS control rings and send to Rob...I'll definitely buy one!! I can't turn this smooth ring either. I think what's happening is the oring is just a hair loose in there and bunches up as it turns and causes the final few turns to close it off to be really tight and hard to turn. I ordered a new oring from Rob, but haven't had a chance to test it out yet. A knurled control ring would let me get a decent grip on it though!

Noooooo!

Because then other people will have a GG as beautiful as mine!

Also... The top cap of my GGTS, or the bottom of my collector tank (number 8 below), is smooth. I have been unable to remove it from the GGTS for a few days (afraid of damaging the finish with hand tools). I could use a knurled one... No rush.

Nice thought. I have something similar for my oil filter. But I wonder If I can get something small enough for that ring.

It doesnt really matter. I'm sure someone at work can loosen it for me.
I just have tiny hands. And my roommate is a lady, so no dice their either.

Go to grocery store, or maybe even Walmart and get one of those old-fashioned flat rubber jar lid openers. I cut one in half and it works very well to get a grip on parts without scratching them.

I know here we have harbor freight and northern tools and both have small enough to turn bolts!

The small hands reminds me of the burger king commercial!
