GGTS info--I`m lost

Hello!

I just received a nice GGTS nickel!

I dont know why but I was under the impression that all I had to do was slap a battery in,screw the ody on top and enjoy it.

That is not happening

It seem that I will require a new top cap?

What I got here is a mint TS with collection tank and a ring on top of it



What do I need more?

I swear,it never ends!

in order to use the air control and collection tank you need adapters. i will try and find the thread

did you get the rethreaders with it ?

if so youll need to use one of those and 901 to 510 adaptor, youll also need to remove the top cap thats on it to use the odysseus.

if you didnt get the rethreaders with it a 901 to 510 and a 510 to 901 adaptor will be required.

Thanks to Daniel at GRBC that pointed to me that the inner part of the top had 501 thread I can enjoy it

But it looks fugly with that gap...will try to source adaptors asap!

If you'll be using it with the ODY and without the top cap, I feel that the 901 rethreaded and a 901-510 adapter combo is the best way to go. The floating pin will be able to go up further which will enable you to tighten your telescope more resulting in a shorter looking setup. Your ODY will sit flush on the collector tank and you will get the full use of your airflow control.

Well,I had a good dinner and took a few deep breaths (I got a nice cold) and looked at it.

510 to 510 ego adaptor+510 to 510 std adaptor result

FYI, you can eliminate using two adapters and use one std 510-510 adapter only if you don't mind removing the top cap. I shorted my 901-510 adapter yesterday so that's what I'm using today and the length seems to be perfect to work with the ODY.

Oh but I listen and read a lot of the posts from you experts and indeed an o-ring was added (same $1 shop kit to the rescue again) and indeed,I have full airflow adjustability!!
Coupled with the ody full juice flow capability....heeeeheeehehhheeee
