oh im loving this idea.... yea get rid of the cartos idea... and just have an adapter for that. To many people use 510's already. And with your new AFS and new atties well thats all im going to use from then on out. And because the new atties will use all the juice in the AFS that will save a lot in juice. I like to clean the AFS with cold water every day before reusing it... that seems to help keeping the threads nice and clean. :)

its a good practice to clean it everyday Grimmer. As for the no hole atties, we will still be able to keep the cartomizer option on GG:)

I'm using the GGTS, but do NOT have an AFS just yet. Yesterday was the first time I had leakage into the the battery case, I loaded a refillable cartridge with juice pretty good, same thing as I have done in the past, keeps the atty nice and wet. This time I was putting the GGTS down on my desk, with it pointing straight UP, since the bottom is flat, you can do this. I find the juice drips down on the atty this way, which is good, but also found that when first loaded with juice, the right amount, TOO much can drip down, and has no other place to go, but into the battery compartment, I assume it follows the contact rod. It was messy, and I had to clean all the parts. I'm new to vaping so I'm still learning. I am guessing that the more experienced users put their GGTS facing FLAT down, horizontal, after a vape, correct? This way the juice does NOT flow down the unit. Is this the best way? Is that how the more experienced users do it?

I keep mine standing up.Over filling is causing the leaking.

Very interesting. This is NOT a GGTS issue, been vaping now for less then a week I realize several things. These refillable carts, no matter what kind, I have 801, 901, 501, but will exclude cartomizers, since you can refill them, but they are NOT designed for such.

I now understand why many like to drip. Two drops directly on the Atty. It seems like I have to put a few drops 2-3 into the refillable carts, almost every other vape. So dripping just saves the trouble. The weakest area seems to be the lack of proper wicking from the material in these refillable carts. Even with the "proper" amount of juice, the carts seem to act "DRY", very quickly, you get the "burnt" taste. I start off a new cart, with lets say 10 drops, on a 501. I then prime the atty with two drops. This starts nice, but too quickly, I get less vapor and the burnt taste. If the cart seems overloaded, then I put the GGTS down horizontally, if I seem to get a dry hit, I stand it up to let some juice drip down, it's just a GUESS. Now I realize why many try to find other types of filler for the carts, like tea bags, other types of foam. This seems to be a major area of poor materials not helping. Maybe I just expected to get more vaping time after loading the cart and prepping the atty, but it seems you have to add juice to the cart and atty all the time, which of course at some point can lead to over filling, but it's a fine line when you go too far.

I'm looking forward to Imeo's version #2 of the AFS, that seems like the best way to go. I've tried all the various atty's and carts, and it's a lot of work to get a good vape. So far the cartomizers are the least amount of work and monitoring, but as most know, they don't last too long, and cost too much to use all the time. So far it seems like using the refillable carts is just the same amount of work as it would be to drip. This is okay when at home and you have the time and desire, but on the road and at work, something like a good AFS seems like the way to go. These are just my first usage findings, I hope with a few more tips, things will get easier and better. Again, this has nothing to do with the GGTS, it works great, my findings would apply to any mod, the weakest link seems to be the cheap wicks in the refillable carts. They always seem like they are "overfilled" or "underfilled".

yes, very true!! I have also little experience, but for sure dripping is the best now..., no carts...until we get the AFS V2 that will be totally :p:p:p:p

What causes juice in battery compartment using the AFS. I know it's flooding but I tought the GGTS was sealed? I'm not talking just a little juice either.

Hurry up and get the new parts out Imeo, this took out the pcb on my 18650 battery. Now I have to run it unprotected.

They will be ready exactly the same time as the new GGTS batch Harpo. The first thing that I will do is to send those parts to my sellers.:)

Macta dont worry at all for the leakage issue because I will solve it by sending you the right parts by post office. You pay only the post office expenses and I pay the production of the new parts:)

Thanks, look forward to the "new parts", and the newly designed AFS.

When can we expect to see these parts. I'm not using my GGTS until I get them. I don't want to take out anymore protected circuits on my batteries?

What a drag  I'll just have to wait then cause I definitely dont want to deal with issues from the start. I'm glad I found out now rather than later.

Leakage is very minor, just don't overdrip. I have been using my GGTS for a few weeks now, no battery problems what so ever. Actually I will receive another one today or tomorrow. I can live with that, not without my GGTS ;-)

My major leakage issues were when I was using the AFS but I still put it away until the fix is available because I just don't trust it. Plus batteries aren't cheap. It doesn't take much juice to ruin a pcb on a battery.
