Some GGTS users - including me - asked Imeo to make a GGTS with an aluminum that doesn't need cleaning so often. And he created it. I don't know if this alloy is called "7075" anymore or "666" or "Bob". If it is strong, conductive, light and scratch resistant I don't care for its name.
We also asked a full-aluminum GGTS. He wouldn't do it because of possible threading problems. Someday he posted that he found a way to solve this problem by changing the threads in some way. Now, for me it is a step forward. It can rattle all it wants without batteries (I usually use it with batteries

) and if it rattles with batteries I can screw it a little more.
Switch unscrews and falls... Yes, if you don't screw something properly, it eventually unscrews. It happened a couple of times with my 2009 model also after cleaning. GGTS is not an ego (press button, works, don't press button, does not work), it needs a more "advanced" user that understands some things (hey, it's loose, let's screw it).
"Not great looking orings"... Well, from what I read, Imeo stopped using the old "perfect-looking" orings after he found a small factory that makes
food grade orings for user safety. Now, my guess is that this factory might not have all the expensive equipment to cut orings perfectly. But I really don't care if a - liquid touching - oring looks uglier if it's safer, really. Make it pink with blue elephants if you like... It doesn't even see the light of day when using GGTS!
The engraving... Well, I agree on that, I prefer the old - discreet - engraving. But it is a matter of personal preference, some will like it some will not.
