A thread came up today basically asking what all the hype is about the GG and why people become "collectors" willing to chase after these products. A few people responded by telling about what they liked about the SSGTS. Thought that the topic was interesting and figure that this deserves it's own thread.

If someone you knew was thinking of getting a GG product, what would you say to them? What is it that makes GGs different from other battery holders?

To me GGs are not just vaping devices. They are pieces of art that you can actually use. When I'm holding a GG, I don't feel I'm vaping batteries like the e-cigs, or just an atty on a tube, but a device made exclusively for and totally devoted to vaping.

I like all these details they have, their parts and the ways you can assemble them. They are integrated and at the same time they can be expanded.

As for the GG attys, I enjoy so much the procedure to set them up… The wires and the wick, the wrapping of the coil… and I'm sure this gives me a more satisfactory vape.
All these, of course, would be meaningless without the exceptional vaping experience that Iatty and Odysseus give. But this is no news, don't you agree?

I wrote these to answer your question, but I thing that only someone who has imeo's products would understand what I'm trying to express. For the not-knowing these rantings would seem very strange, at least.

So I would not say anything to someone who would ask me about the GG. I would just let him/her vape with one for a few hours and then I would ask...

What I mentioned in the previous thread is that I love that you can take it apart to clean and that there are no points of failure. Lifetime device.
That and the fact you can use most any battery combinations and volts you heart may desire. Not all GG users agree on atomizers and batteries but we do all agree on the quality and versatility of the GGT Storm. I once heard someone complain that it was too versatile. I still haven't figured that one out.

My first half of year with SS GGTS + UFS I was worried that it might break down  and I will have no choice to come back to smoking. I never wanted any other e-device, only the GG. :p But now, 11 months after I am sure our SS GGTS + UFS will never break. :thumb: My husband thinks the same. :)
1000% of Quality and 2000% of Comfort! :vapor:
But for all these 11 months people on the street ask me what the type of PIPE it is?)))

There is no hype. The hype is over on You-tube talking about Kony 2012.

What you see here is a common group of people that an appreciation for many aspects of a product. But, i does in fact lack any thing even close to hype. Actually as far as I know Imeo doesn't do any marketing.. People find GG, not the other way around.

An many cases it's the same tired arguement that's been 'discussed' ad nauseum on things like cars, phones, computers, food processors. Name it it's been done.

In this case it's been covered here: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/gg/51675-reminder-gg-comparing-other-mods.html

Only thing I have to add that isn't on that list is the vendor chain.. I can talk direct to the designer which allows me to believe in his sig, and Bruce at COV is awesome to deal with, if there is a problem, it gets fixed. That and some recent pricing issues resulted in some member audits, and showed Bruce spot on with his pricing.

- Beautiful
- Flexible
- Fail safe
- Forward thinking design.
- Top notch vendor/supplier support.

What else do I need?

When I bought mine, I have to say the stainless steel construction was the deal maker for me. Having dealt with soft metals, even chrome, SS has superior durability, and it's very easy to maintain.
The battery options, versatility, and control were a big part as well.

Now that I have my GGTS, and other GG devices, I have the most versatile device available on the ecig market. Combine the GGTS with the Ody, the options are truly amazing. Anytime I want to I can completely change my GG. No matter how I configure it, it's seamless, reliable, its a premium top shelf device all the way. It never looks cheap or poorly designed.

If I drop one of mine I think I'll have a coronary.

I agree with all that everyone mentioned, however no one has mentioned the most important thing. The love affair, the emotional bond. I can safely say that no other material possession of mine provokes such emotions as my GG's. I know, my wife says I should see a professional over the matter but I truly feel an emotional bond to my GG's. I wish I could explain it but I cannot.

The GGTS is the baseline of perfection. Carburizing the vapor and mixing air through the control ring/collector cup blends and cools the mixture and is genious, orings make it perfect, battery versatility speaks for itself, 303/304 stainless are surgical grade, mechanical switch will never fail, springs can be replaced easily, steel threads will seldom wear out, and the ody, well now, the ody, that is a different thing altogether.

Controlled ohms in a simple setup that only needs only nail clippers and a bit of wire, no other tools. Add the clear extension and top cap and you have a two to three day charge.

Egos got me off smokes for sure but if I hadn't found 7.4v I would be smoking still

Thought i would give the flip side to the GG

Now iv been using a GG for well over a year now and i agree its a very nice device and with a UFSV2 on top its awsome.

But to be honest these days i favour my provari with a tank on it.

VV is the future of E smoking for sure.

There is a VV coming for the GG soon. But finding any GG in stock is a nightmare just not enough being made.

Congrats on your ProVari Jonah. I did like mine.. does a beautiful job w/ vv. Everyone has their passion. I'm sort of relieved that Captain mentioned the little "bond" thing. Was considering getting help myself as I'm just completely mezmerized by these. Can't put my finger on it.. maybe it's the numbers (3 is my lucky number!) or the weight in the hand (actually kind of a perfect feel to it - not heavy but certainly not too light) but I've got an affection for these.

Value = Expectation, once the reaction is positive, the user will tend to keep using it and spread positive word of mouth to share about their positive experience.

It will form a perception to non-gg user that gg is a good device and they will want to own a gg device too, which lead to a rise in the demand, but follow with a low supply and causes it to have price hike for consumer that wants to purchase 2nd hand from classified.

Price itself also can be view as a status of the gg, example; if brands like Prada, Gucci, LV sells their bags at 10x cheaper from its price tags, do you think they will become who they are today?

Imeo currently is also using marketing philosophy, where he will find out what we consumers wants & desire, then deliver the product/service to us, at the same time being able to profit from it.
