Great review. Pictures make me want to get it brushed when I receive it. I love how Polished looks when its cleaned and shined...but the moment you touch it...fingerprints all over!
Yeah I've been leaning towards brushing my Just GG when I get it as well. I, too, love the polished look, but it gets greasy and fingerprints pretty fast (at least for me)
I'm fine with polished SS. Depending on how you use it the polished SS develops a used look in short order that doesn't show prints either. So if you plan to keep it in a safe place it will remain clean and shiny. Use it and it develops a used SS patina finish that can be polished.

Beautiful CaptSteve. I would brush my GGTS but it's an old one (#414) and the engravings are very light, if I were to brush it I think they would just disappear!
Yeah, I will probably grab a new engraved tube when I get a chance/when they're in stock and brush it - Just GG should be out soon, though!

I had planned on getting some rubber grommets and attaching my tubes to my drill and just using Scotch-Brite abrasive pads (thanks to River Nut for the Scotch-Brite suggestion)
I feel like I should probably get another Just GG so I can have 2 sets: brushed and polished - then I can mix and match parts!

I attached the parts to an old carto to the drill, spun them and applied a scotch-brite pad with some pressure until I got the desired effect.
Perfect! Good idea with the old carto! Definitely doing this with parts of my Just GG. My hands get a bit greasy throughout the day and it all sticks to the polished GGTS! I think this will feel a lot better in my hand. I might go a little deeper with it than what you have done, unless there is a reason one shouldn't?
No reason not to go deeper at all. I just opted to do it lightly in case I change my mind and want to polish it again with my buffing wheels. In fact deeper is better because it will last longer. Fingers over time tend to polish it if it's just a light brushing
I did mine by hand with a fine grit sanding block. Originally I did it because I had some scratches that wouldn't come out by polishing it. It looks very similar to CPT Steve's. The sanding block turns out a uniformly brushed look as long as you sand it horizontally. It has to be a very fine grit block.
The brushed appearance looks really nice guys! Maybe I will try that when I get a second GG.
What polishing products would you guys recommend I use for my routine cleaning on justGG? Never had to do it before, and I want to be all set up for when it arrives!
