Girlfriend's Vape Has No Flavour

Hi guys!

New to forums, somewhat new to vaping - around 6 months or so. My girlfriend and I both started at the same time, but I got a second hand battery/tank from a friend and she got all new.

We both just started to use Breezy Shake Strawberry and we love it - but only on my setup. Hers has almost no taste, no substance - no changes to settings on the battery, new coil in tank. Can't find an answer online (it is not vapour's tongue!), any ideas?

Are you swapping the same tank between setups, or do you just mean she has the same kind of tank? Same coil in both tanks? Any more info you can give will help us to better help you find a solution.

Same kind of tank, Ceito Aspire - apologies! Yes, same coil in both tanks and same wattage. Her battery is a Jaybo and mine is a Tecc Arc 3

Did you thoroughly prime the heads before installing in base?
Which aspire clieto replacement heads are you using?

All fairly power hungry, kind of a head scratcher why it vapes well on the Tecc Arc 3.

Hmm.
TECC Arc 3 is an iStick of some sort.
(TECC sell Joyetech & Eleaf products, they just camouflage the products to charge extra.)
Jaybo is a designer of e-cigs mods, not a brand as such.
If you have the same tank, both with the same new coil, the same power, the same liquid the result should be the same. However the Jaybo/Wismec mod will have various settings not just watts. It's possible the setting is wrong, the mod is malfunctioning or you have battery issues perhaps.

With all these being the same, I would suspect a less than perfect wick in the inferior tasting tank.. Or a poor connection. Are there fluctuations in resistance?

Welcome and glad you joined. I would switch no taste tank with good taste mod and see if taste in no taste tank improves. If not, it may be a bad coil and wick combo. I would seriously consider a rebuildable (RBTA) tank atomizer. If you can bend a paperclip, you can build a coil.

Same tank, same coil, different mods...my guess: either a bad tank to mod connection, or her mod is not supplying adequate power to the coil head. The exact model of the mods you both use would help us help you.

Edit - both tanks cleito aspire 0.4 ohm, coils are the 40-60 watt type. Her battery is a Jaybo reuleaux rx-mini.

Sounds like a coil or wick issue, yes.

from my experience so far, those prebuilt coils are really inconsistent.
I had 5-pack coils for my nautilus mini, probably only 2 of them are producing flavor up to my expectations, and all of them were sitting on the same mod, the rest were either producing muted flavor or even non-existent. That's why I switched to an RBA.
probably open a fresh pack of coil and be sure to prime before vaping it.
