I ordered some late on Friday. I wasn't expecting them to arrive until Wednesday so I was pleasantly surprised to see them in my mailbox today. I ordered 3 tapered DTs (two clear and one cobalt). Unfortunately, the cobalt one I received was not tapered.

what is the difference between tapered and non tapered i want one of these
The non-tapered version is not perfectly cylindrical; it has a bit of a bowed shape (like an elongated cask/wooden barrel). The tapered version has a similar shape except that it has a slight concavity in the middle. I ordered 3 tapered DTs because I imagined that they would be more comfortable on my lips, and they are just as I expected. The non-tapered version still feels nice. I just prefer the tapered.

juice slides down them like no other. I wasn't sure what you guys meant when some of you said that "the flavor is better with these DTs." Maybe it's my imagination, but I see what everyone was saying. For what reason or another (and maybe it is my imagination), the flavor of my juices do come through more!

They are a bit more difficult to insert into an atty/carto than other DTs I own. It's a tight fit because the o-ring is a bit large and gets pinched on the rim of the atty/carto, but I got it on by twisting it around while pressing it in. Once it's in there, it's in there good. There's no way that this thing will come off unintentionally.

All 3 DTs are different lengths, but that is to be expected when purchasing a hand made item. The length differences are not more than a millimeter or two. The packaging was a bit frustrating. Each DT was wrapped in bubble wrap, and the bubble wrap was wrapped with what seemed to be a yard of packing tape. When I opened the USPS envelope, all I saw was what looked like 3 crumpled wads of packing tape. I guess they just wanted to make sure that the DTs didn't break in transit. I guess it's better to have crazy wrapping than broken DTs

Overall, I am more than happy with these DTs. They're gonna make the perfect tips for my P10 and P16 that are coming later this week!!!

EDIT: I just swapped the o-rings with ones from my other DTs, and it has made a world of difference. I constantly take my DTs on and off, and these smaller o-rings make it a lot easier to do so.

Yeah, got mine in this last weekend and they ROCK!!! 2 tapered and 1 untapered. Only observation I would make is that they definitely need a slimmer o ring on them.

Anne

Go to Lowes or Home Depot or Ace-whatever, and in the plumbing section you can pick up some o-rings. Take the drip tip with you and grab a service person.

I ordered two of these drip tips for my new ego, and I absolutely love them. Haven't used anything else since they arrived. As much as I thought I'd like the convenience of the ego-t, and I do...I'm addicted to the flavor I get and the feel and fit of this tip.

Also, a shout out to John @ theecig. I wanted to try a LR atomizer, so ordered one. It turned out to be bad, and John immediately responded and reshipped. They arrived right away, and to my surprise he sent me two. I really appreciate the great service!

the tapered is much better imo... ymmv since they are handmade and each one seems different.
I have 4 of them now, a 306 (huge, but great; very functional... and Pyrex takes the dripping experience to a whole new level), 2 tapered, which are longer, and therefore cooler, and further from juice source, so the rare case of juice coming back or even spitting due to heat is less likely, and 1 non-tapered, which while still great, just not as desirable imo.

here's the skinny:
Get your backups for these in one order... the shipping, and prices on the site are a bit high (but worth it imo). If you buy a certain dollar amount you get a break on shipping, i recall.
And don't be afraid to order their juices... i just got a free 3ml of Sin A Bun 24mg... it is very very good... almost equal to my favorite juice; VB Snickerdoodle, which is out for a while at VB due to re-aquiring original ingredients.

So far, I've bought 7 theecig pyrex drip tips, including two 306's. Out of the seven, one was too big to squeeze into the atomizer, and I broke two. :(
But, I really love these DTs, especially the 306's!! And, I'm in communication and wanting to buy four more from Open Lab Glass ...

How in the heck are you breaking them NCC?
A smaller o-ring helps if they are a bit tight with the ones that come on them, but I like it kinda snug. The 306's have been reworked a bit and are a much better fit on the mouth end.
I do understand the Drip Tip obsession. I'm right beside you in line with the glass ones. Do remember they will be made of glass and will most likely be more prone to breaking. I have 3 coming-ordered 2 this morning and another this evening-LMAO. The guy got me-he loaded up a couple more and reeled me in.

I broke both of them on the job. I don't take them to work any more (duh, took two to figure that out).
Yeah, naturally I like them tight too. This one just won't fit. I'll take it along to show you if you and we Panhandlers ever get a meet together. I'm not bent out of shape about it though, as I know they're hand made. I feel they should be fit checked before shipping though.

The 306's are great! Don't know what has been reworked or when, but I like mine which I purchased on March 25th.

OH
Just wanted to write about my experience with theecig.com. I was looking to order 2 of the pyrex DT's, threw them into my cart, found a coupon code (PSU) and went to checkout. Knowing I was over $20, I expected free shipping. Not only did it not give me free shipping, but not even the flat $4.99! (wanted to charge $10.49) I played with it a bit and no luck. Sent off an email and within a couple minutes, John emailed back. We went back and forth trying to get it worked out and he quickly fixed whatever the issue was. I ordered 2 DT's, one 510 and one 306, 2 juice samples and extra o-rings, rcvd free shipping plus 10% off and my total was just above $28. Not bad!

Now, I expected at the very best, my order would be shipped out the next day as this was all late in the afternoon. Nope! As soon as we were done with the order, he had sent me the shipping info. So, then I thought, OK, he created the label, but will still ship out tomorrow-nope again. It actually shipped and scanned through a hub by this evening!

One of the best sellers I've dealt with! Fast friendly CS and amazingly fast shipping, what more can you ask for?! Thanks John!
