Hola TreeFam!!!

How was your weekend!?

Having worked on saturday, i only had a one day weekend, but it was nice.
Took the misses and boy to a one ring circus. He had a good time, but refused to be held and kept running up to the ring. nose to nose with a jumping miniature horse...

my Kraken clone should finally be here today. ive never owned or used a genny style atty. I have one piece of ss mesh that came with something else. i watched a video last night, and i am perplexed. in the video they used ss rope, topped with rolled mesh, pushed thru dual vertical MCs. all torched and oxidixed for a long time.....

tell me there is an easy way.

id prefer to not use mesh, but if i must (or it is recommended) where should i start? and do i need ss rope!?

#1 Congrats, LD! It seems no one wants to take your PIF. Perhaps we have all already ordered juice from GMO :D I certainly have.

Last month, I sent one of my EA clones off with a friend to be refinished and torched. Got her back today. She is lovely. I'm quite smitten. Pics tomorrow, perhaps.

Purely out of curiosity, a question for those of you who rebuild your own coils: How many of you sub-ohm? Or maybe a more general question: where is your sweet spot?
On a VW i prefer 1.2-1.4 single coil RDA at 10.5-12.5w.
on a mech, i prefer a single coil at .9-1.3
I find 1.2 to be a sweet spot that allows me to go from Mech to VW with the same microcoil.
__
for dual coil, .7-1.0. Ithaka is great at .8 - .9. And chimbus at .7-.9, but can still be way harsh at times.

I need some thinner silica wick, as i want to make my MCs smaller, but cant fit a doubled 2.5mm wick thru anything smaller

#1 Coffee=good. Thanks for the question, I would have had nothing but "coffee=good". I think I've covered it pretty well before, although things can change my preference has been pretty consistent. In case you missed it:

RDA: 1.0-1.2 for single coil, 0.7-0.8 for dual coil, almost always "micro" or "nano" coils, meaning the wraps are touching each other. I can't handle 0.5-0.6 dual coil, I know it's just the same as 2 of my preferred single coils but it's just too much for me. In any case, I need a mechanical mod for RDA's. It only took one experience with burning cotton to keep me on silica/ekowool for RDA wick, once broken in it's about the same IMO. If the ohms are too low, I have a Kick 2 which can dial a 0.7 coil @ 4.2v (25 watts) down to 3.2v (18 Watts) or lower. Interesting fact, I recently found out the Kick 2 actually puts out 18 watts max, they did that to compensate for mods with very poor voltage drop.

RTA: 1.3-1.7, single micro or nano coil, ohms depends on the atty and gauge of wire. These can go on a VV/VW mod so the ohms don't matter that much. @ 1.3 ohm I usually go for 4v (12 watts), 1.7 I'll take up to 5v (15 watts). I'm sticking with cotton ball for these, although I have some hemp that works better but is harder to roll to the right size.

RBA: About the same as an RTA, but I'm not using my RBA's much anymore. Between the KFL, Taifun, and Squape, the vape is so much better and more consistent that I may not go back.

dum question, whats the diff between RBA & RDA?

And agreed with the RTA, i think this year ill be using primarily RTAs.
(i ordered the $20 aqua...... i have problems......need more cowbell.......)

1: Good afternoon all.
LD I as well received my mail yesterday, thank you kindly sir, beautiful family.
Glad you liked :)

This was the first year i have ever done holiday cards, granted they were late, it felt nice to be able to share them with many of you. For those that didnt get one, but would like one, send me a PM with your addy and ill mail one out to ya :)

2. Am I the only person who hasn't tried GMO's juice yet? I better get busy and post some trees.

QV, PM incoming :)

#3 Tracking shows "delivered" at 7:45am. I've never received mail that early, it's usually after 9:30 and often noonish on Mondays. It's no big deal, just a part for a thingy. It does bug me though, like their ETA dates having passed by days before the package arrives. Someone on their end should notice these discrepancies.

I have definitely done this. With a few GC wins, i almost always got juice. Most of which i prob still have (as much is terrible) in my 'give away box' (a box of juice either too high in nic, or doesnt suit my taste buds, this is what i give to new vapors)

Here is an ungrateful complaint you might be able to relate to, a GC for a site that has NO GEAR that fits event remote needs, and whose juice is verfiably awful..
Or a site that sells only cig-a-likes, the cheapest being $25, and the GC is for $15.....

#3 Affirmative, understanding and generally friendly folks in these parts. Beware the unknown, unnamed narc. I don't know who you are, but you do...:glare:

One would think. I blew $100+ in gift certificates from a contest win on e-liquids rather than equipment, and only found one juice barely palatable. I shouldn't complain since it was free, c'est la vie.

I understand a sign of aging is an increase in "misplacing" things.

Why is it the only things I seem to be misplacing these days are small bottles of juice? Drives me nuts when I can't find that 10ml bottle of juice that I just had not 10 minutes ago!?!?!

Aging and dripping do not mix, my friends.

doesnt it grind your gears?

esp, when you cant find the droids your looking for!?

it is often inaccurate, but, in the HUGE systems defense, it does work the majority of the time.
however, and this peeves me too, I dont think it should ever say DELIVERED until the mailman physically places the package at its destination, and marks delivered after leaving said destination sans package.
why would it be any other way!?

dum question, whats the diff between RBA & RDA?
A) You do not need SS rope. Folks have been using mesh alone for much longer, although even that isn't necessary. If you have some cotton ball, I suggest you give this a try : Genesis Atomizer Auto Dripping Mode Using A Micro Coil - YouTube (note: I don't care for that guy much but some of his tutorials are decent) You'll have to tilt every couple of drags, but chances are you'll like the flavor better and it's much easier to do than rolling and oxidizing mesh.

B) RBA, RTA, RDA: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/new-members-forum/466428-what-difference-between-rda-rba.html and http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/rebuildable-atomizer-systems/487409-difference-between-rba-rda.html Basically, all rebuildables are RBA's, RBA means rebuildable atomizer. At some point (probably marketing reasons), tankless dripping atomizers became known as RDA's and genesis/tank atomizers kept the term RBA. It took a little while before the term RTA (Rebuildable Tank Atomizer) caught on, the Ithaka had been around but with all the others somebody coined the term and it stuck. You can rebuild a Protank/Evod head but I still think they are clearomizers. JMO, I could be wrong. :2c:

#5 There was one doorway at a previous job, it worked every time. At a more recent place of employment, all the doors were removed and I found it much easier to remember what I was doing when moving from one space to another. It's like the doors themselves caused disorientation. You can't just leave the door open, it must be removed completely.

If removing doors is an metaphor to consciousness itself or not, I can't remember. I had to leave the room in the middle of typing this post and lost my place.;)

And on that, I bid you adieu. I could raise the price to two diues... what are diues going for these days? :p

1: Good afternoon all. So much truth with this post, so much.
