I must say you did make me laugh with the review of Cast Away -- was it not one word? My goodness who wrote that review?

- On a heavier note - you guys can't imagine what people actually go home after a hotel stay and call and complain about. It would blow your mind and the fact I have to document it and show "empathy" is off the wall. "I'm so sorry Mrs. Smith, it must have been horrible that someone knocked on your door accidentally and they had the wrong room." Literally my last call & it wasn't the middle of the night or anything! GRRRR sorry don't mean to rant...I'm done!!

I know what You mean. I do contract work installing/upgrading Guest Room TV & Internet. Not only does this involve interrupting service( that never goes over well), also entering every room as most upgrades involve at the very least verifying that the connection, devices, cable and signal strength are with in specs. While most guests are very corporative there are those that are not. Some out right rude. Some complaints You hear border between ridiculous and insane. And there are even those who can't understand why a contracted TV services guy is unable to do anything but put them in contact with someone who can do something about about how long it took for their room service order to arrive or some such non sense.

I know some people can complain about anything/everything....I prefer not to...It usually falls on deaf ears anyway......I think it's better to ask people for help then to just gripe about a problem...I certainly hope I am not perceived as a complainer...I only state the facts & ask for suggestions on what I can do about it.....I was thinking about my "neighbor"...He has gone away again(no one know where or for how long), and it's been nice not being "high" for the last 2 weeks.....when I "complained" (although I would not consider it a complaint) about it & what I can do, I got some great advice....BTW it's been nice here for the time being....

I won't say, but his review of Apollo 13 was read by Kevin Bacon on Comedy Central's "@ Midnight" last Thursday. That account was frozen due to totally nutso reviews, so he started a new one which I follow just for the laughs. BTW, he's completely serious, and seriously loony. Here's his review of the children's (age 5-8) book "Come See the Earth Turn":

"the Earth is stationary

Now that the Earth has been scientifically proved to be stationary, more and more people are coming to the realization that what we were taught in school (about the Earth rotating on its "axis") is completely false. So it's no surprise to me that the people who are trying to perpetuate the myth that The Earth is `rotating' would release a book like this onto society now.

This book purports to be an innocent children's book about the life of Léon Foucault. But in reality, the publication of this book is a reaction to the growing awareness in our society that the Earth is stationary. This book is a last-ditch effort to indoctrinate children into the false belief that it has been scientifically proved that The Earth is rotating.

In reality, it has been scientifically proved that The Earth is not rotating at all. Soon it will be impossible to conceal this truth.

I'm giving this book five stars because it is exciting to see that the bad guys are getting nervous about the cat being almost completely out of the bag on this matter. In other words, the publication of this book reinforces my belief that The Earth is known to be stationary and that there is a network of criminals who are desperately trying to keep the rotating Earth myth alive. I'm not saying that the author of this book is necessarily a criminal. It's possible that she was assigned to write this book and doesn't know any better. But the idea that this book was created to appeal to children is preposterous. No child would have any interest in learning about the life of Léon Foucault. This book was written to trick parents and children into believing that it has been scientifically proved that the Earth is rotating. Don't fall for the trick. I've studied the Foucault pendulum extensively. It does not prove, in any way, that the Earth is rotating.

The Earth is NOT rotating or moving at all."

#5 (i forgot to number a few of my posts)

5 - (wow I finally hit 5!)

It's people complaining hoping to get something out of it. Money back - a free night - something.

Sometimes it's funny how much they ask for when the littlest thing happened. Everyone wants everything for free..

So true once there was a guy who wanted his entire 3 night stay comped because there were a number of channels He wanted to watch that were unavailable due to contract negotiations not going through between DirecTV and the networks.

#2 - Okay finally made it back to the forums today. All caught up on whats been happening.

Schnarph that castaway review was hilarious it reminds me of another onr I saw not too long ago. What I can remember off the top of my head anyway.

I watched a movie last night that was about a young boy whos mother died at the edge of a bad neighborhood. He was raised by his dad. Well on the first day of school his father considered holding him back. Cause you see the little boy was handicapped and the father thought something would happen to him. First day of school the teacher took the class to the neighborhood where his mother had died and the boy was kidnapped. The father sets off in search of his son when he runs into a mentally disabled invidual who accompanies the father on his journey to find his son.

And the movie the individual was talking about was... Finding Nemo. Their review was much better butvto give you an idea of what it said.

glad the STONA down below YA is gone :)

in 2013, for the holidays, much like the 3 years prior, i purchased/gifted 1 xbox video game.
this year, wifey bought me Battlefield 4.
somehow, during the move, i lost 1 of my 2 controllers. and the surviving one is worthless as Levi broke it by being a cute little devil baby.
went to gamestop, 45$ for used, $55 new. went to wally world $50 new. bought the controller.
got home, put new game in.
requires a separate component to play, specifically an internal hard-drive.
ebay/amazon microsoft xbox harddrives $90-140 new.
generic hard drives - $40 new
purched generic harddrive. 10 days later, harddrive arrives, wont load into xbox, malfunctions. defective (hopefully)
returning xbox (crazy spam mail from rakuten/buy.com)
ordered a different, highly rated generic harddrive from amazon. it just arrived.
hope it works tonight when i try it out.
ive had the game over a month and cant get past the menu screen....

#3 - Ah thats a bummer levisdaddy. Well at least you got a hard drive in so you can enjoy it tonight. BF4 is pretty sick. I'm trying to get a new pc together to play. I have played it on xbox and it's much more enjoyable than bf3 imo. I have been playing cod ghost off and on but idk. It's just not as enjoyable as past call of duty games.

#5

Thanks Lynzy!
I hopes i get it :)

In 2008, when i moved back to tucson, i founded Tru-Vibe Collective, an EDM (electronic dance music) label.
I manage (as of a couple weeks ago) 13 djs, and work to find them work (ie: paying gigs) along with event production, promotion and coordination, as well as equipment (sound, turntables, club lighting) rentals and brokering.
My next event is on 1-31, where i am hosting my own stage at a two stage event called: OM ~ Together as One

just for fun, call: (520)4777-TVC
that is my 24/7 infoline, and will always have details on my next upcoming events.
id post the website, but it is outdated. i need to get our next few shows posted :)

Get home safe Uncle :)

Doc, no pop quiz?
