Oh K-cups were way too expensive for this girl! I even found the reusable basket went thru coffee like crazy BUT I will say it made a good cup of coffee --till it conked out on me. Stopped heating the water for some reason, makes the noise and then just stops![]()
Ack!#1 Morning all, time to get ready to take hubby to the hospital for a kidney stone blasting......Oh joy. Poor guy is in so much pain.
awesome! i really dig when i have a vapetastrophe (or lessor complication) i can almost always find an answer here quickly that works, and improves my experience and alleviates my frustrations (many vapestrations!)#1
Happy Friday to ya, tree crew
So...I rebuilt 2 kanger heads with tighter loops and my ohm count came right down to 1.9 and 2.1! Great input from yesterday helped save the day! I'm feeling very accomplished!
ayyyyy, you are forcing my hand here GMG!3. I put a pork .... in the crockpot last night it smells so good this morning but it has hours to go...
i 'understand' the k-kup phenomenon, but i dont buy into it. unless you get a dual maker, with two types of baskets (what!?) the concept of making ONE#(*$(#&$(#*$! cup of coffee at a time is never something that will interest me.#2
Ahh, expected vapemail puts such a nice feeling on the day...doesn't it?
I make most of my coffee from my Keurig...mostly out of convenience and the fact that I can't really handle more than one cup anymore. I bought a bunch of those reusable filter baskets with high hopes, but I can't seem to get a strong enough cup with them. With real K-cups, I need to make a smaller cup of coffee to get the desired strength, even when I am using bold coffee.
1- Morning all, going to try and make some pancakes before I head up to the VA hospital in DC. Quite the nightmare heading up there.

I use the Ekobrew brand of reusable k-cups. Naturally, I bought a bunch only to find that they don't make a very strong cup. I noticed that you said yours makes a good cup. Do you know which brand you have (or had, until it conked out)?

Uncle -- Sounds like my mom - when my phone rings at 6am I get this sense of dread...she always likes to bring up something HUGE at that time. Usually something she thinks I'm not doing "right." I've been told over and over to not answer the phone but **ugh** it's my mother I have no choice. Or so I feel anyway.

Once again, Uncle, it sounds like we share this in common. It seems like my entire family--biological and my family of choice--is comprised of "Morning People." I am definitely (or "defiantly"!) NOT in this category. My SO, who lives in Minnesota (where it is two hours earlier than San Juan) calls me every morning right before he begins work at 7:00 a.m. At least a couple of days each week I'm still too out of it to carry on a conversation with him.

If you find out let me know!! DH does this so I have forbidden him to speak till I've finished at least one cuppa
Most days it works...

Running out to pick up a chicken parm sub for lunch!
...place called Rotelli's - a chain restaurant, mostly in Florida. The bread they use is fantastic.

convenience is nice.#5
LOl...I hear ya - in fact, until recently, I was right there myself. BUT, my capacity for coffee has gone down dramatically over the last few years AND my need for convenience has gone up dramatically too!
