Thanks, everyone, for the nice compliments about Olivia.
I seriously started getting nervous when 4:30 came around and the vet still hadn't called. They're only open until 5:00 on Friday, and they were very specific (in two languages, in fact!) that they would call and let me know when to pick her up. I finally just hopped in the car and went to the clinic. Given that they do the dental cleaning under general anesthesia, and she came bolting out of the back room, I'm assuming that she was ready several hours earlier and that they just "forgot" to let me know! I was very happy to get the report that she's in excellent health--even if she does have a serious genetic tartar problem (so does her daddy for that matter).
They also trimmed her nails. . . very short. I have tile floors
throughout my apartment and I can usually hear her coming from her nails clicking on the tile. Now she's totally stealth!
I hope everyone has had a nice Friday.
