I'm hanging in there for now.

Ok a question for the more knowledgeable 2people then me. I'm thinking I want a rba with a tank. I have a limited budget so with that in mind what should I consider? I like my trident very much, so something that's not too hard to build and will give good flavor and vapor. Thanks for the help. If this is not proper here I'll edit it out but the people here I trust.
The kayfun is pretty nice, great vape and easy enough for coil building. I'm liking the SQuape better, it's about the same in terms of vapor and flavor, but far less parts to break or lose and more liquid capacity. It's also really hard to get a short on the SQuape. Downside is it's ~23mm and pretty heavy... wait I said all this in more detail in last weeks contest! Post#535

jac's suggestion is good. My only gripe with the Kayfuns are the large number of parts and tiny screws. Many folks have broken the hollow positive pin/air intake screw but mine's fine so far. Whatever you get, make sure you clean it out really well with a toothbrush and soapy water, followed by many rinses. The Kayfun clones have post and fill hole screws that can rust easily, so don't leave it soaking!

If you just want to get your feet wet rebuilding a tank of any kind I could send you an RSST, but since bottom coil rebuildables are so plentiful now why not start with something better? Regarding Uncle's well put post regarding mentioning other suppliers, best keep vendor specifics to PM's or do more research. Given the limited budget, there's nothing worse than being in a hurry when buying vape gear.

4: Just emailed my boss and Bcc'd myself. In very nice words I let him know he owes me six days of back paid holiday pay, and that he had compensated all the employees but myself. He has no grounds to say no, as my very nice words "hinted" at discrimination.
You tell 'em!

I was just looking for your guys ideas as I'm pretty much use my carto tanks 99% of the time. I have a few cheap RBA's but the only one I can get to hit good is my trident. Simple is better for me.
That's interesting, I've been using a few and they're all basically the same, except the Immortalizer and an Octopus which have intakes below the deck. Have you drilled the air hole out on any of your less satisfying rebuildables? Also, which air hole size do you prefer on the Trident? Air intake is a YMMV area for most folks. Some RDA/RBA caps come with 1mm holes and that doesn't work for me at all.

01/05 Entry #2 . . .

Oh BOY - Been running around all afternoon and need to relax a little tonight . . . Which is very good since a number of the TV shows I really "like" are on that I want to watch - "60 Minutes" (which is on right now) - then "The Good Wife" & "Mentalist" - all while I'm recording the first show of the season of "Downton Abbey" to watch later . . .

See Ya' All Later Tonight - Hopefully, someone will be around then . . .

How do you like the Octopus? I just received the Squid (the smaller version) in vapemail, yesterday. It's the first RDA/RBA I've bought (well, the second--I recently bought an RSST in a co-op, but that is still, I assume, somewhere in China).

I am just waking up after sleeping for nearly three hours. I think I'm done with Benadryl for a while. . .

@Uncle--I think the new season of Downton Abbey is one of the best. I watched them during the run in UK. It's unfortunate that the U.S. always needs to wait for this show.

Schnarph, I've got a 91% and 3 kayfun 3.1 clones, I've torn them down many times and can't imagine how hard someone would have to crank down on that center post to snap it... These aren't engine parts!

That said, I know a cpl people who have done it.

I haven't gotten a Squape, yet... That and the Aqua are the only two bottom coil RBAs I haven't tried...

#3 Okay so quick question, noob that I still am? RBA= one of those that you drip some juice into and do that every 10 or 15 puffs? and to use a RBA do they all have coils you have to rebuild yourself? I suppose I could google but I always seem to get conflicting info. TIA

I do remember reading somewhere that it is a nicer vape with better flavor? True?

I did not like the Octopus. It vaped fine but I kept getting a leak since the intake is on the deck and comes from below. With that style intake it only holds a few drops unless you have lots of cotton wick and your juice isn't too thin. Other RDA's are also named the Octopus and have a side/cap air intake hole, once you get yours and find out it's intake is on the deck, there is a simple fix.

I had a Russian 91% V2 just long enough to say it's the highest quality machining and material available. I'm doing just fine with a KFL+ clone but I'm going to need some replacement SS screws pretty soon, my deck and airflow screws are rusting. The hollow center post wasn't the best engineering design, the SQuape gets it's air from the 510 connector and doesn't have a hollow center post. I don't think a vertical coil would be easy on the SQuape, but that didn't matter to me. Also, it's big and heavy, so not for everyone. I'll have a Taifun clone in a few days, not sure if I'm getting a plated brass deck or SS. I'm going to pass on the Aqua, I have no intention of going dual coil in a tank and the ~2ml capacity and 21mm OD would bug me.

Edit:

Google is my friend, sometimes...http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/rebuildable-atomizer-systems/487409-difference-between-rba-rda.htmlYou can buy wicks with coils already wrapped on them, but you'll be stuck with silica for the wick. I've tried everything but bamboo so far, there are positives and negatives to each but right now I'm liking cotton for most regular coils.

YMMV, but I am one of many that find the flavor better from a rebuildable.
