So, I got very much into glass tanks because, frankly, I really like how they look. I first got an Anyvape Mini Davide with my starter kit from Viper Vape (along with a Kanger EVOD Twist 1000 mah) and I like it a lot except that it's kind of difficult to clean, since you have to take it completely apart and putting it back together takes a bit of finesse between threading the top and bottom on to make sure you don't get leaks. So I went looking for something better. Next, I purchased a Kanger Mini Protank 3 and a Kanger EVOD Glass tank. I like the both of them a LOT more thank the Mini Davide except that when I fill them, as soon as I flip them over they seem to only be half full. I also noticed I can't fill them quite as far as the Mini Davide because the post doesn't go all the way up, only part way. I've taken them back apart, re-added more e-liquid and done it again, and suddenly it's only half full again. No gurgling, no leakage, so I'm a bit confused as to where in the world the liquid could possibly be going. Flipping it back upside down doesn't have the liquid going up to the same spot. My main question is whether or not this is normal. It's not a huge problem, they vape well and I really enjoy them, I'm just curious.

I have an RDA that just broke, a 1:1 Trident clone, the middle post had half of the mounting screw break off with very little pressure, the folks at Viper Vape offered to send me their OTHER Trident clone, as I had requested, and even give me a credit for the difference since the other one was a bit cheaper, all without so much as a picture. Pretty awesome customer service. That being said, I'm kind of stuck using these smaller tanks even if I want to use my mod, so I'd like to get the best use out of them possible.

Another question I have is whether liquids could be so thick as to gunk up an atomizer so badly that even soaking in vodka won't clear it out. I don't have any rubbing alcohol to clean it with and I'd seen vodka mentioned. It's a rather dark e-liquid which is amazingly delicious, but if it's going to destroy the tank's atomizers I can just wait until my new RDA arrives to keep vaping it.

Finally, any suggestions of other small glassomizers to try? I'm debating on some of the larger ones for my mod and will probably get a Nautilus and one of the large Aerotanks when those come out, but that's all I've looked into so far.

all you can do is fill tank as far as the 'air tube' height will allow

it is not so much 'thickness' of juice, but "sweeteners"
that really gunk up your coils...

thick might cause troubles with flow (wicking)

youtube 'dry-burn' coils to see procedure

here is a good glassomizer you might be interested in (not small tho)

- Hyper Tank Clearomizer

good luck

As zepp said, fill the evods and protanks to the top of that center tube as close as possible. I have used mini protank 2 only because of reliability and rebuildability. The juice fills up the space where the coil is on the mpt3 and that is where the air comes from. you should be able to get more than half of it full. i think i can get about 1.7 ml in mine. The mini protanks go great with ego batteries and the regular protanks are so-so for mods because the coils cannot be rebuilt in many ways but great for beginner/intermediate.

I never have done the soak in alcohol cleaning method. I learned how to rebuild early and made the switch to cotton. If flavor goes bad get a new wick or atomizer.

I do not know of any others to try but I saw that the mimi davide got an upgrade that allows the protank coil heads to fit on them so i might buy one soon.

Hope this helps and if it doesnt I am sure more people will flock or some more wandering through the forums will get you there.

Youtube -couple reviews - surric r.a.t. tank

My husband & I now have 3 surric cartomizer tanks - these are awesome,
got a great cartomizer in them - & we are happy vapers. Excellant quality!
Only brand I will ever own-& plan to get more. Will get husband 1 ibtanked
as these seem to be great quality & I think more appealing look to males.
Well I like them too but I like the pretty surric ones more.
With a good cartomizer in them & ease of use & no rebuilding.

Our first "upgrade" was to the kanger mini pro ll -
First off- I'm the one that maintains our vaping equipment.
So dealing with these tanks before the day was up was driving me
batty. They get filled 3/4 and by the time they are 1/2 full they start
gurgling & needed topping off??? "Air pressure"
I found refilling them to be an unpleasant, messy process.
And oh my that glass is thin.
He vaped on these the way they wanted and they work fine for him,
He likes them & its look.
-when I did, I got gurgling & liquid in my mouth = all that annoying
maintenance and blowing out all the parts that have tubes.

He may be fine using them but unless he's the one mucking with them
everyday then he got a new tank (which he likes more & can taste
flavor each & every draw).

BUT I am getting one of these larger R.A.T. tanks - want to have,
at the least, one really good, glass, bottom coil tanks on hand
(single coil, so I won't need the dual coil adapter.) And they take the
same coils as the kanger so I can use the ones that we already have.
No waste of money picking up a couple backup replacement glass
tubes for the kangers either-putting it towards this tank.

The big problem is going to be picking a color/s. :)
Between what might be in stock & what both of us would like, I don't know
if one will do. ;)
