To have a 6v you would need a different head cap, but If you find that 5v don't do it for you , and you want 6v,I can always remove the resistor and send it back.

So after vaping it at 5v for a while.. if i find that maybe 6v would have been better... i can mail my "head cap" back to you and you will....

/slight of hand
*allakhazam*
/pixy dust

...make it happen?

Edited: would it be better for me to just buy a new 6v head... cause if i mailed you my 5v back for "servicing" then id be minus a way to vape for however long that took....

I will say this: I am highly impressed with the vapor production and taste from my 5v PT (no inline batt)

I really really like my eGo... the size is whats clutch... the batt life is reasonable considering im intent on using LR atty's with it... but the thing is... the damn LR atty's just seem too unreliable.. i lost 2 LR atty's in just a few days.. and at their price.. its not economical.. nor can i suffer the shipping blues...

I have been using Cartos (dogs' NF carto mod)for the past 24hrs.. both 5v PT and 3.7v(~3.1) and im sold on cartos i think.... i just need the 5v vapor production/TH.. all things 5v... but mobile and handheld...

on the subject of handheld.. how "comfortable" in the hand is the GLV.. ive seen Grimm green's review on youtube.. the 2 reviews of the lady on GLV's site.. she appears to have smallish hands... and esthetics wise am i going to walk around looking like i have a detonator in my fist?

I love my 5V GLV but I ordered a 6V this time. The taste does change a little bit when using 6V but it doesnt taste bad at all IMO. I usually get more flavor when vaping at higher voltages but thats just my experience with it. I was vaping at 7.4V for awhile and it was great. You can go through more attys at 6V but that can depend on what ohm rating you use and maybe even where you get them from. 5V does seem to be the best for vaping. I just like the flavor of a couple of my juices at 6V better so I had to order another GLV since I only use Jay's mods now.

5v is the way to go man, 6v will make some of your juice taste weird, and burn up your atomizers faster...5v is the G spot of vaping.
I agree Badfish....Having gone from 5v to 6v and back again...I can honestly say my comfort zone is 5v...With an 801,901 and 510 atty. The flavors really do come through with 5v IMO!

Gotta tell ya... im anxiously awaiting ordering my GLV, if the funds were available today, id get my order logged today. But alas, i must wait until payday (june 4th..)

I want to take a moment and say thank you to Jay, thanks a lot for answering all my questions and doing so in a very rapid manner. Im really impressed with your interpersonal connection to your buyers. Thanks for that.

side note: is there anyway to know what # GLV unit i will be recieving? like for example GLV # xxxx of xxxx... a production run #.. and if so.. could i have that add that # to my etching im going to have done? Id really like to be able to say : "This is MY GLV, there are many like it, but THIS ONE is mine."

5v or 6v..........
I have a couple of mods that will do 6V choke..cough..sputter. If it were not for enjoying my 5v usb PV I would have stayed at 3.7V. My SB was gifted to a friend due to the size and the fact that I don't like 6V. I think the voltage is very much like the e-juice and probably varies between indviduals. Ideally folks should have get togethers to sample each others juices and PVs, it sure would have saved me a ton of money. Of course there are always the classifieds for the ones that aren't quite what you are looking for.

You're getting good at this Jay, but I wanna start seeing videos of you rappin those rhymes! :D

You're the man Jay!

PS, I like the new non scary avatar:)

YES, I think that's why I ordered TWO GLVs! If he'd had the same mean, scary avatar as before it may have been just one! (hehe! ;))

Yup, I can be added to the 5V love club! Altho yeah, it's subjective -- admittedly I never liked anything at 6V besides the old standard cartos (but I had only been vaping a few weeks when I tried atties at 6V, so who knows now). Reason I ordered minis instead was just because I decided awhile ago not to 'let' myself get to where I couldn't actually enjoy 3.6V at all anymore, for the various supply/batt and portability, etc. benefits of that. So, I 'sentence' myself to 3.6V the bulk of the time lol, and keep 5V as somewhat of a regular treat. No real biggie or anything; the BIGGIE is being able to vape instead of smoke, period!

I now return master Jay to his regularly scheduled question-answering; in case I've managed to obscure actual biz here, note that there's a new one up there for ya Jay, about production # inscription kinda thing. :)

LOL you guys make me smile. I am going to the etcher tomorrow and to drop off samples and to ask about the # thing. If you have not seen yet There is an option to buy just the body tube on the site now. This is so people can change bodies when they want a new color with out having to buy a whole new unit....3.6v to 6v..you get the idea.

does this mean.. if i have a GLV 2.. and want to use it at 3.6... all i would have to do is order the mini GLV body? and bam id have a 3.6v device?

not sure i grasp what that means...

the head is what determines 5 volt, 6v or 3.7v.
the mini is only able to produce 3.7v
full size tube and appropriate head will determine 3.7,5 or 6v use.

hah!.. ummm.. so is that a yes?

Edited: So... i could order a second full size tube... and the GLV mini head cap.. and then vape at 3.7v while doing so on a full size (5v length/size GLV)?

and/or .. order a second full size tube.. with the 6v head cap.. and vape then at 6v?

the way im reading that... i buy a new body/tube and will have the ability to have vape range from 3.7v-6v.. am i confusing myself?

If you ordered a mini I believe the head will fit a full size tube and that would give you 6v with 2 battys 123's in it or 3.7 with the one batty in it with the smaller tube..

5v head has a resistor in it and would be needed for 5v with large tube.

ok i think i got it now...

basically... i would have to order a GLV 2 Kit and a Mini GLV kit.. PLUS an extra full size tube..
and the result would be... the full range of vaping 3.7v-6v.. and do so with 2 individual units....

correct?

well yes but you could take the head off the mini if you wanted to and use it on the glv2 tube and use at 6v.

heres the deal.

there are just 2 tube sizes.

mini tube holds just 1 battery.. 16340

reg tube holds 2 batteries- 2 - 16340's

there are 2 heads.

1 head has a resistor in it which gives you 5v.

the other head has no resistor which can allow 3,7 or 6v.

so these heads are all interchangeable because the tube size diameters are the same size. just the lengths are different.

hope this helps..
