GLV-3 mini kink issue fix (maybe)

Just a thought as I don't have a mini, but go to your local home improvement store and find some small metal (copper) piping slightly larger in gauge than your hose. Have it cut and bent to fit the housing at either an L a C or a U shape depending on which configuration you use. (Many places will do this for free). Then just attach a very small section to one side and the feed needle and a larger piece to the other side to "loop" to the bottle. Leave enough length to pull the bottle all the way out and save on headaches later. I'm heading to Lowe's a bit later today and if I find what I think you guys need I will come back with the part # and price.

Jay, you can use this fix if it works, I only ask that you send my percentage directly to my home address using large bills. (Or a working GLV XL 5v will do as a substitution.)

What I found is that you have to twist the bottle---and you can get a bit of a coil under it.

I contemplated cutting the tube---but opted not to & got the bottle twist to work.

The sequence I used for setting up the bottom feed for the mini:

Take off the brass feed tube with white base. Then insert the bottle with the tube attached through the unit and feed the tube through the "feed tube hole". Then you have some room to attach the tubing to the bottom of the brass feed tube. Put it on as secure as you can. Then press the white base back into place. I then lifted up the bottle a bit and sort of screwed it in--watching the coiling.

What I found is that you have to twist the bottle---and you can get a bit of a coil under it.

Twisting the bottle while pushing it down solved my kink-problem too. Just watch what happens with the tube in the bottom-pipe while twisting and moving the bottle up and down. I used a paper-clip for some fine adjustments the first times. Meanwhile the tube finds a kink-less position with no need to fine-adjust it.
