i'm a ecf noob and posted this on GLV's forum... i guess i should have put it here, so i copied it over. maybe the fanboys won't get too upset if it's in the right forum :confused:

i'm posting a series of emails between me and Great Lakes Vapor following up on an order i placed on August 13th... WTF??

Did you call Jay on the phone?His number is posted in the subforum.He has had some personal issues lately with a death in the family and finding out his wife is pregnant.Not an excuse,just a heads up.Give him a chance,he always comes through.

Why would he call on the phone?

Is there a difference between phoning and PM'ing and being told for a third time....."I sent it already"?

He's already been told twice and lied to once about it being shipped.

Good point.
Why would he need to call? The problem isn't communication- as they've written eachother back several times apparently.
The problem is the vendor is lying to him saying he shipped it
and he STILL hasn't sent it to him!
This poor guy's order should have been jay's #1 PRIORITY.

Thanks for this though. I will NEVER order from GLV.
That's no way to treat a customer that has been MORE THAN patient.
no excuse.

Sorry to hear about this DrJ, and I certainly understand your frustration with GLV. I had a similiar issue with them just a couple of months ago. Jay did finally make it right but lack of effort/attention/concern or whatever you want to call it that went on for weeks, left me with a very bad taste in my mouth too.

Hope you get your mini soon.

Having said that, the OP is correct he did get the wrong package, and his was lost in the mail. It returned to me on or around the same day the we had a death in the family, and every thing went crazy at my house for about 3 days so yeah I did forget to send it out ..witch is why I said that I would over night it to you, and I asked you to give me your address so i could have it in a couple places..helps me remember. I agree with the OP ...4 weeks is a long time,and am Very Sorry for your bad experience with me .
I am up to my ears in orders and even one day behind gets me in trouble. I would never leave a customer out in the cold or take their money and not make sure they got a working GLV. I care about every GLV that leaves this place , and every customer that buys one ...just ask any customer that has spoke with me.


I am willing to offer you a refund , or a 2nd GLV for your trouble...up to you. I do however think you could just skipped the the whole ECF post and ranted at me over the phone. LIke I said ...I am truly sorry for all of this , and only want to make it right.

i'm very sorry about your family's loss. my late glv seems rather petty in the light of that. you can close down the thread if you want and communicate with me or send my order when you're ready and have time. thanks for your candor.

Glad all is working out for you DrJ!

Things do happen to all of us from time to time and it is very unfortunate.

Jay always does his best to serve his customers. I have done business with him for over a year and have bought several GLVs from him and have always been impressed with his care for the product and the people that buy from him.

I know you will enjoy your GLV for years to come and will probably buy another from him in the future once you see the quality and how the product performs..
