In comparison, PG is thin and VG is thick. PG is used in ejuice for throat hit and to carry flavoring. VG doesn't provide throat hit but does make more vapor than PG does. VG doesn't carry flavoring as well as PG does. This is why you find both of them used together in ejuice. In my personal experience, the VG you find at many ejuice vendors is much thinner than the ones you buy from baking/candy making sources and I can't say why this is. I only use those the ones sold for making food which is super thick and dilute it with up to 30% distilled water to thin it out some. Since I buy ejuice that contains both PG and VG, when I want to cut down nic levels in whatever I have, I add the distilled water VG I made. Hope that helps.

im even more confused now hahaha i just wana know if the glycerin at the bakery store i went is pg or vg.the bottle says glycerine and thats about it.but thanks anyway man

"Glycerin" will be VG. OK, it might be animal derived, but that's really unlikely and I've actually never seen it.

PG will specifically carry the label "Propylene Glycol."

The stuff gets used in a ton of places. Bakers use it. I use it in soap making. I also make it when making soap, but it's an intentional by-product that makes the soap more moisturizing.

In either case, always look for USP (pharma grade). Anything less pure probably shouldn't be inhaled, or at least I don't feel comfortable doing so.

Your pretty good to go except that you can't use anything other then pure nicotine itself for nicotine lol. And lets not talk about getting that here.

You could however use some of the existing juices (with nic) you have to mix with your diy to introduce nic into the mix, at the cost of diluting the nic levels and adding extra flavor from your existing juice (unless u have unflavored juice/nic mixes).

Also im not very sure how well the supermarket flavourings (those u use for baking i assume) perform for making e-liquid. There are flavourings that have been made specifically for making e-liquid.

I imagine the 'Super market flavourings' may work, but not the suger for sweetening.
Suger caramalize when burned, and you don't want that to happen in/on your atty.

You can do it in 3 ways:

1) PG/VG mixed with flavor (30%/70%) + 20% flavour, add nic (carrier base 30/70 as well) to desired strength.

2)Use pre-mixed juice of equal nic and mix. Strength, PG/VG remains same.

3)Use pre-mixed juice of higher strength, cut with flavourless PG/VG to desired strength, add flavour to compensate.

You need to use a juice calculator for method (1,3). If not you'll mess up the nic strength/ratio.

@Joy92: Got a new found love? Lol...:vapor:
