Hi, I recently tried to empty and refill a gogo cartomizer, using steps from a post on these forums. It didn't work for me. I think I messed up putting the filler back in. My question is, can i leave the filler in, and just repeatedly run the fully assembled cart under hot running water, trying to clean the filler this way? I hope so, I'm waiting on cartos and I wanna try my new juice :)

You can do that. Boiling them might also help to get the old juice remnants out. It's not going to clean the coil that way, but if the coil is in good shape rinsing them out will work.

You also need to dry them out well before refilling. This is where taking the filler out speeds things up. When you lay it out flat it drys quickly, but rolled up inside the carto, it takes a long time to get dry.

To speed up the drying, you can do a final rinse with vodka or PGA and/or do a taryn spin to get more of the liquid out, then put the carto somewhere well ventilated (on an air vent, wedged in a fan, I've put mine in the clothes dryer on a shoe drying shelf).

If you can figure out the restuffing it's a really good way to clean them out. It does take some practice though. It took me several weeks to get it figured out so that it worked most of the time. Finding a straw that fit snugly over the inner tube seemed to be important.

Oh yeah, I think you posted about this the other day right? I started to answer then I got distracted by my 5 year old.

Since they haven't been used, rinsing should work okay. I've found that it's really hard to get all the flavor out just by rinsing, but if you take the filler out, you can get most/all of it out.

I got sent some go-go cartos with a tobacco flavor by mistake. The vendor replaced them and said I could just keep the filled ones, wash and refill if I wanted. I rinsed those things repeatedly, boiled at least 6x, soaked in vodka, and dried them out really well and they STILL smell like the tobacco flavor. I haven't tried to use them yet, but I'm hoping whatever flavor I finally put in them goes well with and kind of masks the tobacco flavor (cause I don't like it).

I soak mine in alcohol for about an hour and blow them out a couple of times during that hour. Then I replace the alcohol for another hour.

After the second hour I blow them out from both ends and set in front of a fan for a day or two to dry and they are just like brand new.

Hope that helps.

Wendallb - I'm curious - do you mean regular rubbing alcohol or ? It seems that would work too but not sure.

No the other alcohol, everclear..I should have been more clear about it..

I did do some in rubbing alcohol but not anymore once I found out it leaves a residue..
