Appreciate the concern. Do you remember what video it was?

Sorry buy don't remember the name of the vid. He was reviewing an atty and put the batteries in series instead of parallel and he quickly had two dead batteries and a dead mod.

Oh I didn't mean using more than one battery, I meant that with the authentic, I believe you can only put the battery under the power button, but on the clones you can put it under the 510 so it's not an L shape

nope. You technichally can put the switch where the 510 goes, and screw a extension tube where the switch goes along with the top cap and might get things to work, but if memory serves me right you needed a insulated, yet conductive, spacer between the firing pin and the brass tube. I remember alot of people used taped pennies, but thats rather unsafe imo. Not worth the conversion.

though tbh, on aw 18350s, a .5 ohm coil still has quite the head room on a CONTINUOUS discharge (let alone pulse), so aside from additional battery life, I dont see a reason to mod the hammer to accept a 18650 anymore...

Just a heads up - Gearbest has the GMini on sale for $19.99. Plus free shipping. I've never ordered from them, but they can't possibly be slower than Fastech, and that's the lowest price I've seen for an authentic. They also have the new UD Bellus that looks interesting - 5 ml tank, top fill, single coil option, and you can get to your build without draining the tank. All great features, but aesthetically, I much prefer the GMini. Decisions ...

Edit: The Bellus is a pre-order - doesn't ship until 10/25 :(

I picked up my Goblin Mini last Saturday. The shop installed:

Dual coil, 2mm ID, 30g, 0.5ohm

Ran great all week between 19-22w

I rebuilt it last night:

Dual coil, 3mm ID, 28g, 5wraps, 0.5ohms

Still a great vape at 22-25w

The 3mm ID was a tight fit, but I've not had it short against the deck or the chimney - not sure how as there is no room to spare.

I actually like the tiny deck to work on. Although I did find the Phillips deck screws too small for my smallest Phillips driver. I really struggled to get the deck screws down firmly enough to make a good connection. Solved this by using my smallest flathead driver, which made it much easier :)

I love this RTA due to it's low profile, low weight, zero spitting and no leaks.

Highly recommended.

CONGRATS!! I am impressed. I didn't think a 3mm coil would be possible on that tiny little deck.

UD knocked it out of the park when they designed the Goblin mini!

A tiny tank the size of many attys and flavor better than some of the attys out there.

For the second version of the Goblin Mini I would like

Single coil only.
Bigger post holes

Allen screws instead of the 1.5 mm screws.

Redesign the pendulum airflow

Possibly top fill if you can completely close the airflow. To prevent flooding

Dave a friend of mine suggested a two post deck like a Velocity then you could build ANYTHING.

Standard 510 drip tip.

I would more than anything like for the tank to screw to the top so you could take the build out and work it without spilling the juice.

.

Thanks @Two_Bears

I wouldn't attempt a 3mm ID coil in the Goblin Mini on a Mech, but felt okay building it on a DNA40 with short protection.

I tested it first on a meter, both before and after putting on the chimney, but still was half expecting it to short out when in use.

I've emptied a tank with it today, with no issues :)

Not sure if you ladies and gents were aware, but Smog Distro marked his remaining stock of Goblin minis down to $20 + shipping at the end of August.

Goblin Mini [UD] - Smog Distro

Just saw that this morning. Put a GMini and a Goliath V2 in my cart, then got distracted by the Cthulhu V2. That one looks great, but from the discussion in that thread, sounds like there may be some QC issues. Might be best to wait for the second batch.

Take a look at the Cthulhu V2 on Smog - it has all of those features and is definitely something I will re-visit in a couple of months. I do love that Velocity-style deck. As for the GMini, the under-deck fill port and the pendulum airflow control is the trade-off for the low profile design, which is what I like best about the tank.

I pushed my Little Goblin to 32 watts and one reviews pushed the little Goblin to 72 watts but 32 watts was more than warm enough for me.

I'm running 12mg juice through my GM, so find 25w about my limit when I want good vapour and a big nic hit (great for vape breaks during work).

I find if I take it down to 19.5w I get a nice easy vape that I can hit all day, similar to tootlepuffing on a Kayfun.

For me this flexibility is a big bonus.

I prefer mine at 15-17 watts.

I absolutely love the Goblin Mini. Not my favorite to build on but definitely my favorite for flavor.

What ohm coils did you build? I like mine between .8 and 1ohm.

Yeah, that seems to be the norm with them on the first run batches, unfortunately. I'm waiting for the black Cthuhlu v2 if I decide to get one, I'd like the black one I think.

Love the size of the goblin mini, but man the deck is a pain to build and wick

Sent from my HM 1SW using Tapatalk

In the words of Yosemite Sam "Thems fighting words." ;-)

I rock mine with a 2 mm coil. And the wick is tight but still able to slide in the coil. One person said they got a 3mm coil in there but I don't see how without shorting.

My problem is the itsy bitsy screws that want to back out unless you get them really tight.

I wish they had made a two post design like the Velocity then would be much easier to build and use either a single or dual coils as you see fit.

Yeh that was me, and it is a tight fit :)
