God awful taste.

Hi, I'm fairly new to vaporizers, and have only tried using the "pen style", I think that's what these are called. Anyways, bought these
V3 Vapors Standard Starter Kit Auto a while ago, and they have been working great. For a long while I used 100% PG and 70%PG/30%VG, but I experienced lung irritation so I decided to try 100% VG. I heard that was supposed to be better for that. Anyways, put the VG in the cartomizer? like I normally would, and it would work fine and dandy for the first few fills, but all of the sudden I started getting this absolutely horrible taste. I do not know what it is from, I don't think it's the dry burn taste, that definitely doesn't taste as bad, and goes away when I add more liquid. This horrible taste is usually right after I fill them up and I can't get it to go away no matter how many times I puff. I have already "wrecked" 3 cartomizers, and I am reluctant to try the VG in another until I figure out the cause. Does anyone know what this could be from? Thanks.

Filling a carto with High VG juice requires patients. The vg liquid is thicker and therefore is absorbed more slowly than the thinner VG eliquid.
Wet the carto with 30 or so drops of eliquid being careful not to get it into the center hole.
Puff with no power 10 or so times
Very short puffs with power until vapeing begins
Take slightly longer puffs as vape production reaches normal
