going from mechanical to box mod?

I'm looking to go from a mechanical to a box mod. So hopefully some of you have done this already and can lend some first hand knowledge about it. I love my mechanical, i vape at .14 around 125 watts on a fresh battery. I know i don't get that much watts due to voltage drop battery sag whatever the case may be and the wattage is dropping on me constantly as i use the mech. This is leaving me wanting more, the first couple hits off a fresh battery are amazing and I'd love to have that all the time but the only way is to get a box mod.

The vape isn't that hot to me at all, so I have no clue what the actual wattage is that I'm getting off a fresh battery but it does produce huge vapor. I'm lost on what I should do here.

What box mod is right for me? Should I get, 100 150 180 260 watt? This is where I'm stuck at really, i don't know anyone who has a box mod that i can try out and see first hand so i need someone who has done what I'm trying to do to chime in. I've got the money for a box mod right now, i don't have to get one asap, if something is releasing soon i can wait.

Honestly, you can replicate that experience with 50-70 watts. The reason being that regulated devices can push well past 4.2 volts.

Currently, I'm addicted to running a dual coil, quad twisted 26g at .25ohms. I run it at 125 watts and it has opened up an entirely new level for me.

I'll admit my search game is weak but I looked and couldn't find any 100 watt+ box mods that allow usb charging. I know the ipv4 is suppose to but that won't be out for a while considering the Chinese new year going on nothing is leaving China til after March 2nd

The reason is that charging two batteries simultaneously requires a balancer which increases the cost/size of the device.

I'd get the sigelei 150w, replacement batteries and then just charge them externally, replacing them as necessary.

The iPV4 will actually use a different connection rather than USB. You won't find any boxes that utilize a dual battery set up with USB charging. For my dual 18650 boxes I just have a couple sets of batteries. That way I always have a fully charged set laying around. No need to plug it into a USB. Just a quick battery swap and I'm vaping for another day and a half without worrying about them.

I was trying to not buy a 4 bay charger, I've got a nitecore digital 2 bay right now because I always have a fresh battery with my mech mod.

Guess I'll wait til the ipv4 comes out and see how it does in reviews.

As stated earlier, the Sigelei 150 box mod will suit you perfectly.

Yeah, if you're waiting for the ipv4, make sure you check out some technical reviews of that charging system before jumping in. It looks like a really nice device.

Well I ended up finding a mint used sigelei 100 watt box mod tonight for $50 so i bought it.

Vaping at 100 watts all the time is a lovely experience for me. I put a .5 ohm dual coil on it. 10 wraps of 24g around a 1/8th inch bit gave me the same surface area as my parallel coil at .14 ohms

I'll tell you this there's nothing like a 100 watt dry hit. Holy moly that hurts and I'm doing it quite frequently tonight. I really need to figure out a new wicking method or get a rda that actually has a juice well because I'm running dry fast at 100 watts with this dark horse.

I really do like the mod and I'll be getting rid of my mechanical soon, wish I would of got a box mod a lot sooner.

It's nice to get my feet wet with a 100 watt box mod for cheap. I really like it and wouldn't mind trying out a 150 watt box mod sometime in the future after this burns out. It should hold me over for quite a while.
