i spent probably 20 a week on cigs; 80 a month. i only really smoked 3 days a week, but a whole pack in 12 hours, basically, when i did.

right now, i've spent MORE on V4L than i did on cigs... and am making ONE more order for myself friday, then, i'm going to chill on the ordering, i have enough carts/juice to get by... and see how far my 'break even' date moves, lol. i mean my HEALTH will be better, sure, but money's been a part of it for me, too.

So I figured I spent about 60 dollars a week on cigs. I get paid every two weeks, so if I spend 60 dollars every two weeks, I'll be way ahead.
I sure hope I can stick to this new budget...;)

Same here. My new budget for 2010 for vaping is 50% of what I spent on cigarettes, which works out to about $120 per month. I should be able to do it if they don't come out with yet another batch of flavors that I MUST try immediately!

I will have to baby my cartos to make them last as long as possible so I can buy more juice.

My hubby lost his job and I'm trying real hard to NOT spend, but I have placed 2 orders in one week. Now if I was smoking I would have found the money for cigs!!!! I think turning off the computer might work.....not... I'm just working on having control.....not working.....HELP kids college tuition is due in 2 days!! This is making me crazy!!!! Its all good!!!

I only spent about $12 every 2 weeks on cigarettes. That was because I was hiding my smoking from my husband which meant only about 3 cigarettes per day and mostly none over weekends... If I smoked as much as I am vaping I would have spent a lot more. So it's difficult for me to decide on a budget. Also the shipping to New Zealand is pretty expensive. At $25 per order, it's pretty disturbing, so I have to make each one count!

i plan to go on a vaping budget, like 'drenalynn's--find my favorites, stock up on equipment, and then coast. but i'm not going on one until i am totally free of the craving for traditional cigs. i am more or less, it's not a daily "struggle" by any means. but i've found that when severely stressed out i smoke one. that's not a huge deal in and of itself... but until i'm past that, i'm going to spoil myself with vaping gear/flavors to continue to make vaping much more attractive than smoking. i expect to see major savings once i go on my 'budget'.

Good plan. I will not allow myself to go back to analogs. If staying off the butts means that I will routinely go over my budget in the process, that's ok - it means I need to tweak the budget and make cuts somewhere else. In the long run it will pay off no matter what I spend.

*nods* yes, exactly. quitting smoking wasn't even my set-in-stone goal, mainly cause i just didn't think i could do it. now that i have the opportunity, though, i am not passin' it up. at $60-$80/week in analogs, though, i don't think i'm really even that far "over" budget if i went ahead and factored in equipment lifetime (i.e. cost per week).

oh, and that $60-$80 bucks per week is in a rural area of virginia--a somewhat more tobacco friendly state. that's 1.5-2 cartons, not like... 1/2-3/4 of an NYC carton of cigs.
