making extra profit from shipping and "handling" has been around forever. Some business do it, some don't. And using the "oh but shipping labels and the person packing the little baggie cost money" doesn't work unless you're selling your product for cost. Which, clearly, V4L isn't. They're making extra money on charging well over the cost for shipping, that's why they can afford a full-time 10% discount and often 22% discounts.

They're making extra money on charging well over the cost for shipping,

A buck?

I live clear across the US. It cost them $5.25, they charged $6.95. And you're right. They could back-end load that and offer "free shipping". Raise prices another 50% and they wouldn't ever need to worry about it. The downside to free shipping is that everyone closer than CA to them will pay out the nose for my "free shipping"

I agree with you Adrenalynn... I live on the opposite coast... on my last order the cost of shipping was over 5.00 (I don't remember the exact amount) and that was not a huge order in my opinion. V4L is not making much, if anything on some orders, from the postage charge.

Also... like someone else said... they are very good to us!

Well, I've made a decision and am going to use carts instead of cartomizers.

All I need to do now is find an adapter that will allow me to use my KR808D-1 batteries with carts.

Again, I appreciate everyone's replies and am happy that some of you find the shipping costs reasonable ... I understand what the majority of you are saying but I need to do what is best for me.

It's not until you are in a position where a few dollars saved will make a difference that you can appreciate how blessed you really are.

Happy vaping to you all :headbang:

i assume you already know this, but just incase you dont, you will have to buy atomizers to use with carts. i would rccomend 510 attys. why not just wait for a 20% off or more sale to make up for the shipping costs? i also (from experience) believe it will cost you more in the long run to use attys w/cart, than to use cartos, even with the shipping costs at V4L. either way is cheaper than smoking though. :) also, having just bought an adapter to be able to use my ego (510 threads) with cartos (808d1 threads)
i can tell you that adapters suck. they change the draw. in my case the draw is so tight i cant even use it. :(

 I sure do know that I need to buy atomizers but want to thank you for reminding me! Also, thanks for the recommendation on the 510 atties.

I don't know if this will help you at all with regard to the draw. I am no expert but I have seen mention of using a screwdriver on atomizer posts where you can either increase or decrease the air flow.

I'm sure that some wonderful knowledgeable vaper will be able to help you out if you ask around. Sorry I can't be of any more help

i tried, adjusting the posts, didnt change anything. i think that because the adapter doesnt have holes/slots on both sides that it just isnt gonna work. (design flaw) wish i could help you out more too.
