For me, I stay closer to the 3.9 to 4.0 volts with a 1.2 ohm coil. That ends up at about 12-13 watts. It is just smoother.
Thank you, all of you, for your input. It sounds like I'm going to have to learn about these buildables. Clearly they will save me in the long run and I might as well learn now. Thanks again for the help, I'm bookmarking this thread for all the great info.
Okay Classics, thanks for sacraficing one of your coils for my sake. I'll keep it toned down, but to tell you the truth I perfer it up at about 18 watts but 8 sounds cheaper.
If you burn your cotton (or the coil) on the RTA, you have to be able to replace them, not easy when you're not home, as most don't carry a kit on them.
Lol, I have an old ego 2 case, and carry my little replacement kit in the car.Yup, but many can be rebuilt.. I rebuilt mine, easier than a RTA for the most part, at least for verticals. Plus you can have a few spares for on the go in case your coils bums out on you at the worse time.

Time for a intervention I think....Lol, I have an old ego 2 case, and carry my little replacement kit in the car.
You know what? Sounds like your coils can't wick fast enough to keep up with you, and you're burning up your wicking material. You could try a couple things to remedy this. Turn down the wattage and up your nicotine level. Try a thinner juice. Take a couple dry drags in between vape hits (pretend like you're taking a hit off your vape, but don't fire it). Get a better thank >_>
But honestly? I think your best bet all around would be to just get an RDA for around the house. The flavor and vapor production is beyond compare. And of course you want to stay within the safe limit of ohms for your device/battery, but other than that, sky's the limit. You can build (or have a vape shop build) any kind of coil you like, specially tailored for how you like to vape. And with dripping, you don't have to worry about your coil not wicking fast enough, because you drip all the juice you're going to vape right on your coil and wicking material.
.. then maybe something like the new Kayfun v3+ 1.5 would suit you better. They can be had for anything like USD$10-20 (for the decent clones, that is - that amount would barely buy you an original manufacturer driptip).

No worries - nice, aren't they?Finally... enough of that 2ml nonsense.
In the basket - checkout - wait.
