Hey Everyone,

Well I travel quite a bit and i figured I would post this little tip for everyone out there. I vape a chuck with a stainless steel cartomizer. From my guess when it goes through an x-ray machine it basically looks like some sort of detonator. Yikes! I used to take my e-cig apart and stick it in my backpack in one of inside pouches. This got me searched almost every single time I went through security. I got the whole shake down just because of the e-cig. I was even told that by a few TSA agents.

So recently I have been sticking my chuck in a mesh side pouch on my backpack. Now every time i go through security they pull the chuck out of the pouch and do a quick swab of it to make sure there are no explosive residues on it. Then send me on my way. Its easier for them to grab it and I don't have to go through the whole search process while they dig through my bag to find the chuck. It helps to because it doesn't look like you are trying to hide something.

Just figured i would pass this little tip on to everyone else. Make that e-cig very easy to access when going through security. batteries, buttons, wires, and long metal tubes look like one thing to a TSA agent. Do yourself a favor don't "hide" your e-cig.

What is the result of this? Do they let it go or are there questions? Also do you put the entire thing in the bucket or take it apart?

You seem more fourth coming if you place it out in the open for them all to see. That way they don't see something funny in your bag then have to take the extra steps in going through your bag. If they question you then you can explain. And no I wouldn't take it appart. I would just put it out in the open in the tray and leave it at that.

Just went from Cali to Florida. On the way there I packed my Darwin on my check in luggage. Did not like that because I was not with it while it went through security. If your going to take my Darwin than please do it in front of me so I can put up a fight. My wife saw me trying to watch the luggage go through security. I kept saying "they will page me if there is a problem, right?" She said no, they will just take it and throw it away. It made it to Florida, but Iwill never be seperated from it again. I carried it on on the way home & received no problem. bottom line is, never be seperated from your baby & if I could have purchased a first class seat for my Darwin I definitely would have.
