My neighbor who introduced me to e-cigarettes died a few days ago. Her funeral is today. She died after a long battle with cancer.

I didn't know her all that well as she was already quite sick when she and her partner moved into the neighborhood, but she will always have a special place in my memory. I bought my first e-cig mainly to get her to quit nagging me about it. It's possible that she saved my life with her persistence.

Unfortunatley she didn't stick with e-cigs herself, but the doctors were pretty certain her cancer was already terminal anyway. I don't know if I would have stuck with it either in her situation. Not even certain her cancer had anything to do with smoking. It was in her leg, not lungs, as far as I know.

This post is kind of pointless, I guess, but I felt that I should offer her up a little memorial here. She will be greatly missed by her partner, adopted son, and family. I'm grateful that I got to know her some small amount before she passed away.

Some times we change peoples lives, but can't live up to our own expectations. Your neighbor saved her life by saving yours. Sad she was unable to put down the cigs, but the dominoes continue to fall, and more and more people are having their life changed as a result of her persistance twards yourself. For those of our vaping comunity saved by her initial actions I give a moment of silence..............................................................................................................................God speed to a better existance.
