Here's an idea. You figure out what kind of pv to get her, ego, ego passthrough, riva, etc...

I would be happy to pif a couple syringe tank mods and send them to you with a couple of punched ressurector cartos. These caros run at around 1.7ohms, so she'll get a good vape on a lower voltage pv. These tanks hold around 5ml of e juice. They DO NOT leak. She can lay them down, whatever, they just don't leak. You will need to fill them for her with a syringe. I will also send you a syringe. You will need to watch this video to see how they work and how to refill them; http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/general-e-smoking-discussion/220756-homemade-syringe-tank-mod-looks-easy.html Just pm me if you decide to go this route.

Kudos to you for helping your mom. I also caretake fulltime for my 82 yr. old mom, who lives with us, and part-time for my in-laws, one of whom has very bad Alzheimer's. Smoking has never been one of their issues, but we all have to go that extra mile to take care of our parents; they took care of us for a long time.

Wow my4jewels that is incredibly kind of you. Never ceases to amaze me the generosity of people like you on this community. But to be honest I'm not all that hard up for money. So I would feel bad taking something like this from you when there are others that are struggling on a much smaller vaping budget.

Thank you for all your suggestions.

I don't think she would like a pass-through very much. She woudl feel tied down. She does move around a lot. Realistically someone would be there at least every other day, if not every day. So techically whatever she uses would only have to last two days tops.

After thinking about it more, a couple of Riva sets might be the simpliest and cheapest solution paired with a couple xl clear cartomizers like the dual coils I just got. Or as other mentioned even the eGo t with B tank. Four batteries would last two days even if she vaped heavy, which I assume she would. The XL cartos would last half a day for her I would imagine and being clear they would be easy for me to refill since I can see how much juice is left in them.

You could go for a 18650 Noego which would be cheaper then a silver bullet, and use a tank, or a ego-t system, cartos, whatev. The battery would last a day if she vapes heavy, so two batteries = 2 days. Let her try a couple systems and see which one she likes more. d d
Another, slighlty more expensive solution would be a SB with a MAP tank. An 18650 in mine will last two days. It's big with a big easy to press button which would make it easy for her. But I just don't know how much she would like a big mod.

I really don't have much to add, but I think maybe whatever you do, you should have a passthru or two as a back up. One by her favorite chair & one in the bedroom.

I had the pleasure of caring for my Mother, along with my sister for about 15 years after my Father died. She had congestive heart failure that whole time. And I say pleasure because my Mom lived 15 years with congestive heart failure. Early on, she got around pretty good, but she didn't drive. So, it was basically taking her to lunch & grocery shopping, doctor's appointments. etc. Later, She was wheelchair bound. I spend my weekends running to my Mom's house. My sister worked in the same town as my Mom, so she stopped in a couple of days. We made things for my Mom to make life easier for her. You just gotta think it over & the best solution will come to you. My Mom sadly died last December. God bless you for doing your best to help your Mom.

...as I continue to learn...and think about this question, I am thinking some of the new KGO 1100mah batts from Hoosier Supply(probably good for a day), along with a 3-5ml syringe mod type tank(on each one)(probably good for a day) would be the way togo...put a Resurrector carto in the tank and she should be good for most of a week with 3r4 setups and maybe a fifth for good measure........

You might consider an e-Power 18650 with some kind of juice tank on top. I have no personal experience with this vendor, but SmokTek.com sells 18650 parts. You basically want enough 18650 batteries to last the week and then some plus a battery tube and switch assembly per battery. Top off each kit with a tank. With a 510-Ego adapter, an EMDCC is also an option.

RtdVapor.com has 4-bay and 6-bay li-on chargers for your batteries.

Is the nicotine patch an option? With maybe just one big PV (0% nic) to help with the habit?

Not sure about your money situation, but maybe something like a Vaporluxe with a big 'ol tank on there? That way she never even has to worry about taking out a battery at all, just plug it in to charge and she can vape it at the same time. Or she could throw some cartos with a few different juices in them for those times she wants to vape something different every now and then. It just seems like something with a built in battery + charger would be good since all she would have to do is plug it in and never have to worry about opening anything up.

Just an idea. Hope you get something that works for her! :)

Umm I think tanks, ego tanks, ect are nice in all...but they all require refilling. If dripping is going to be problem..then refilling isnt going to be easy either. Nor putting a needle in a bottle to use that for refilling, knock it over or something.

Why not prefilled 808's? like v4l has. Yes it's a little more expensive yes its a more limited selection...but it's literally screw on..and vape toss when done.
there are I believe riva batts that are 808 threaded, though Idk where to buy them.

That would be a good one too, but if she were to go the route of cartos then couldn't he just buy the cartos and juice and fill a bunch up himself for her? That way it would be a little more economical, unless money really isn't too big of a concern of course.

I think the tank ideas were tossed around because they don't have to be refilled as often. Put a tank on enough batteries, and if someone is around say once a week, that person could help with the next week's filling and charging. I failed to mention that if the tank idea seems viable, you will want to get a drip tip for each tank, also.

The point being that maybe someone else can help with all the maintenance.

Roxics, so sorry about your mother. My mother had a stroke 2 years ago, also on her right side losing the left side of her body. It's really difficult finding info on it because 90% of people have them on the other side so much of the advice and insight doesn't apply. The two sides of the brain functions are so different and there isn't nearly enough info out there for right brain strokes. (Calender/time/date memory problems and losing religion, for example.) If you ever have any questions, I'm pretty well read on the subject. Feel free to PM me. Peter Levine writes a pretty good book on recovery.

Amazon.com: Stronger After Stroke: Your Roadmap to Recovery (9781932603743): Peter G. Levine: Books

Anyway to your question. What PV? KR808s with prefilleds would be easy if you bought a bunch of batteries and loaded them up. They are fairly inexpensive so you could have one XL battery per carto, and leave a half dozen charged and ready to go.

Would she know to stop when she was vaping the burnt filling? That would be my main concern for cartos.

I've used the Echo-e cartomizer on the eGo batteries. It holds a lot of e-juice and tastes pretty good. That could work.

REO grand can be squonked and vaped with one hand if she has pretty good dexterity on the right side. With 6 ml of ejuice an atomizer or cartomizer it could last her a few days if she can handle the sqounking. It's rather heavy so she she would have an easy time grabbing it with one hand without it moving. Problem is you'd need two in case she ran into problems with one. They are pretty rock solid and can be dropped.

So good you are there for your mother. I hope she recovers soon and probably will since she is pretty young. Have patience with her but keep pushing her. Always stand on her left side so she re-learns to focus that way.

PS> My experience is tanks are too finicky and can leak or stop wicking. Much more trouble if someone other than an experienced vaper is maintaining them.

My recommendation: Silver Bullet because of the size, a few 3600mah batteries, a few ego/510 adapters, and some ego mega dual coil cartomizers.

The mod itself would be easy for her to hold. The batteries will last a long time before she would have to replace it. The ego mega dual coil cartomizers hold a little under 4mls so she wouldn't be having to refill as often. You need the ego/510 adapters for the cartomizers so that they will screw into the mod. You could screw the adapters onto each carto for her so she wouldn't have to mess with it. The carto's last a long time lifewise.

Only other option would be an ego with a brick charger that she could clamp inbetween something to hold so that she could use just the one hand to screw them in to charge. totallywicked sells them. The will hold 5 batteries at one time. However, I still think the silver bullet would be the better option to go with.

If you are considering a REO, I would recommend the Woodvil with a plunger button instead of the squonk hole:
    IMG_0515.jpgIMG_0516.jpg

It holds a 6ml bottle, you could add a carto for an additional 1-2ml. The firing button is large and easy to press.

If you PM Rob (redeyedancer) and tell him why you need it, I am sure he would build one for you. Or post a WTB in the classys.
