Welcome, and good luck on your journeys!

I started and am still using an njoy nPro, which is in the similar to the blu, now that they have cartos apperently.

I found the nJoy (rn4081) to be a great entry into the world of vaping, but I can't wait to get my eGo tank starter that is in shipping.

Until then I don't have much to say negative about the nJoy, it literally got me off cigs on day one!

honestly, i believe most of the members around here that they probably wont blow my mind to say the least. but i think it will be a good way to get into the world of ecigs. once i figure out what im doing and what i like and dont like i can go from there. im the kind of person that likes technical things and to tinker with stuff so im sure my time with the blu wont last long. but will hopefully be a nice jumping off point. i just dont wanna get in too deep before i know what im doing and kind of KISS you know what i mean?

There are some 510 "disposables" out there which make a good starting point at a small fraction of the price of the Blu. With some extra juice they generally last a lot longer than their advertising. The advantage here is that any cart/carto/atty which doesn't go bad will be usable with new upgraded equipment you might purchase in the future as long as it is 510 compatible.....which accounts for a great many mods, ego, standard 510,riva,tornado, etc.

best wishes with your decision to try vaping and WELCOME to Ecf.

I probably smoke about a carton a week too and have been watching a lot of reviews today on the blu especially. Im not sure if it will be the best for me. I was wondering if you guys had some ideas as to what else i should check out besides the blu everyone hates haha. If it matters i smoke light 100s. wouldnt mind having something longer but definitely dont want to have to push a button. it also would be nice if it looked like a regular cigarette shape-wise. i dont care about color. after seeing how small the carts are and hearing the battery life on the blu i dont know if it will be for me...

i dont want to get in more than the blue (70) on my first purchase but as another poster suggested i dont think i want to get disposables because if i like it i want to be able to just get a few more things and maybe just get juice and be good to go.

preferably something in a starter kit as well so i can get on the ground running.

any suggestions?

510 w/ pcc (charging case) cheaper and a great vendor here:

https://www.cignot.com/product_p/kit-510-pcc.htm

The other plus is that if/when you decide to upgrade the 510 type ecigs are a widely accepted standard so any attys/carts you have that haven't worn out will be usable with any other upgrade you might purchase as long as it has "510 threading" which includes ego, riva, and many popular "mods"; so no money wasted.

Hi BlackChad.
Think that I know which state of mind that you're in....you like the analogs (still), and reluctant to give this satisfying habit. More/less what you say yourself.

A point in time try : Vape for 14 days - only vape. This should be when you have the hardware situation settled. Use 24mg or even little more if you feel the "crave". Else use 16mg or so. After the 14 days, try lighting up an analog in the afternoon. The rest will be history...

I can't comment on your choice of eq. - I started right off with a Tornado (it has many brand names) from Totally Wicked. That was a good choice for me, I'd say. There are as many opinions as there are vapers (almost).

Think that you have come to the right place for everything about e-Cigs. This is a really nice forum. And you like tinkering: Good ! :)

Good luck to you.

I wouldn't discount a manual (push button) out of hand. Automatics have different triggers to get them started. If I recall, many trip from the sound associated with drawing on them. The problem is that enviornmental sounds can sometimes trigger them. (in your pocket when you're not using it?) I read reviews and forum guides for over a month before taking the plunge. My girlfriend and I also smoked nearly a carton a week. I started with a pair of Joyce 510's with manual batterys. The button sounds like a pain at first but before day one was finished I hardly noticed it.

Less than 2 weeks later I ordered a pair of Riva 510's and we're quite happy with them. Like the Blucig you were considering, the Joyce 510's have smaller batteries, and sitting in front of the TV or PC, I was killing one inside an hour. I had a spare charging, but I was constantly swapping them. With my Riva and it's 750mah battery, I swap them once a day, sometimes every other day. They also produce a thicker vapor.

Hope that helps. Welcome and congrats. :D

ok, after going balls to the wall all night and watching videos, reviews, etc. i think i want to just get this Electronic Cigarette - Starter Kits - Joye eGo. it will actually be a little cheaper. most of the places i go out i dont smoke constantly anyways so i like the idea of being able to have one last the whole entire day. i dont want to have to buy upgrades when i decide i like vaping (im sure i will).

after weighing all the pros and cons i really dont mind the idea of a manual compared with the cons of an auto. and i also dont think i need it to look like a cigarette. if people are gonna ask a bunch of questions when they see me vaping the ego they were probably gonna ask anyways when i had a 100 length black cigarette with a purple light anyways haha.

i like the idea of having more vapor (im a sucker for smoke) and more of a throat hit as well. plus i wont have to keep switching out batteries and things of that nature.

anyone think this is a bad idea? i know a lot of the reviews ive seen have said beginners should go with a regular 510 but i think this is a better way to go.

also, i spend the 50 for this kit and i dont need anything but juice, correct?

you guys have been a huge help already and im sure will continue to be. thanks a ton.

It should show up as $40. Use the 20% off icon at the top of the L-F page
