But, which do you think is the better deal between these two:

Edited to remove links, I'm too new to post them. So.. Cignot's eGo no box deal, or puresmoker's deal everyone is talking about.

The primary differences seem to be that the cignot is branded, comes with five prefilled carts, and allows the choice of manual or automatic batteries (I'm thinking I should try one of each?). Oh, and there's no box. I'm not hung up on that. The total w/free shipping is $69

The puresmoker deal doesn't seem to allow battery choices (I don't even know what's "good" really) and includes a randomly picked bottle of ejuice. Total w/shipping will be $60.

Which sounds like the way to go?

And finally - if you were just starting.. would you go the eGo way, or maybe just do the Joye 510 no box shown at cignot's page - it's 2 510's, 5 "marlboro" style carts, and again, seems to allow for manual/auto battery choice. Would everyone agree this is actually a pretty good starter?

SO intrigued, but SO confused!

I would definitely go with manual and an eGo, rather than a regular 510. You have more control with the manual and don't risk ruining it if you ever decide to drip. The eGo has a much better battery life than the regular 510.

Based on that, I'd go with the Puresmoker deal. In general though, Cignot is one of my favorite suppliers.

Thanks for your input - intuition has told me to go ahead and go with the eGo, and I'm kind of leaning toward the puresmoker deal as well - but I've emailed to find out if they are manual or automatic. That may be a deal-killer.

That's pretty much exactly what I would have said.
With a manual battery you don't have an exposed opening into the battery so no chance of shorting it out if you overfill a cart/carto or drip. Plus no chance of it turning on by itself if your driving with the window down or in a loud environment. Some switches on auto batteries have been known to activate with loud sounds/noise.

The Ego is a great design and I believe you will love it as most of us who have one do!

Almost everything based on the 510 atomizer is simply wonderful. And that's not taking away from how good some of the other solutions are.

What I would recommend, which is having both a standard 510 setup available, and an Ego. I decided to have both because I sometimes want the compactness of the 510. So I have a couple of standard 510 batteries and one 510 mega battery around for when I want a smaller appliance.

Some times a little 510 is just the right size.

Off to shop some more! GAHHH!

your other option is to not postpone the inevitable and go straight for a 5v box mod, or DIY if you are capable (only basic soldering skills needed), which would set you back about $50 for the mod, 2 batteries (that will last 12 hours on a charge) and a charge. Then a 5 pack of cartos for $9 or so, then whatever juice strikes your fancy.

Wish I would have started with a box mod, could have saved myself $100 that I spent on a 510 kit, spare battery, PCC, and atomizers that I no longer use.

I can solder... But no, I'll follow everyone else's natural progression, I'm sure, and get to the mods later.

I'm intrigued by cobbling together a "set" though, and am at cigtech now.

ETA: Or maybe not. Just rec'd the answer from puresmoker - they're manual. They only offer the manual, as they recommend the dripping technique.

I'm also taking the 510 information to heart. Has anyone ordered a "sample pack" like the Q510 for a smaller backup unit?

If you want an eGo, (which is what I purchased and got 7 days ago and have not had nor wanted an analog since my first vape on it) .. I can highly recommend NictoneNirvana as a great supplier .. website is nicotinenirvana.com

I am also in Texas, they are in Nevada .. it arrived 2 days after they shipped it. Their service was fantastic, they immediately answered all of my newbie email questions .. I love them!

They have a coupon code on the eGo only .. it is ecfego10
which is a coupon they have only for their Genuine Joyetech eGo Dual Atomizer kit, the price is then for $67.49 which includes free shipping. It's a "dual" kit, so it comes with 2 atomizers, 2 batteries, 2 covers, the battery charger, and 5 cartridges.

If you ever want to order something else from them, other than the eGo, their normal coupon code is ECF05 and that gives a 5% discount on everything. Plus they always ship free, for everything.

Love my eGo .. would never have wanted quit analogs without it. Best of luck to you!

The most important part of all of these is for you to start vaping and be so thrilled that those "smokies" are not even a part of your life anymore.

That said, it is a process.

I have 510's that I use everyday since Oct. 2009 (from cignot).

Yes, I have added a few mega batteries, 5volt mod, juice box, 901's, 905's, Blu, and Dragon thru the months.

I still use my 510's everyday and when I go out or am at the studio. They are simple, dependable, no frills PV's.

I have started using cartomizers that I fill with my fav juices. I still like using the standard attys using fluval fill material.
I use a 5 slot charger and have several 510 manual batts so I can rotate them and always have plenty charged and ready to go. I have a couple PCC's because I initially was fearful of my batts running out of power while I was out. Adding more batts eliminated this fear.

Hope this helps you see how one person has used the cheap 510's for many months with great success and satisfied vaping.
IMO - the juice is the key. The PV choice is hardware to make the vapor happen.
Please post your progress.
Vape On!!!!!!!
