Here is what I came up with. All the sizing is accurate except for the height of the mod and the size of the 510 connector. Im shooting for less than 4 inches. Corners will be rounded. I also may go for a larger fire switch instead of a small tact. Too large?

poland, and the brassy lands of google
If this is to be wood (my guess from how you have the joints) the 1/16" wall might be awfully thin for the entire build. Also what batts are you intending? If they are low drain 14500's in parallel, the dna might be underpowered as it seems to really want the high C rating. As for height and width, that is up to your personal discretion, your hand will be the one holding it. :)

OK, carry on. Very rounded corners please. Now I vote shorter and fatter.

Im thinking shorter and fatter also. I may go cylindrical. The only problem I have with a cylinder is the screen cut out. Seems like it would be harder to deal with. Maybe ill cut 3 tube designs. 2 square and one circular and then decide.

Thanks for your input.

You will find out soon enough that the round nanos really aren't round and the OD really isn't as speced. I think the 1200's were closer but the 900 & 1000 were more out of spec. However not greatly out of spec....something like +/- 0.5mm if my memory serves.

I also say shorter and fatter....lipo's aren't as heavy as the IMR type cells, so the mass isn't there to help resist tiping.

I figured that the lipos would be off by a little. I allowed for .07" discrepency for each battery and wires. Hopefully thats enough.

I have two more designs I worked out with material I have on hand. Aluminum. Sorry about the crude drawings.

Larger width and nearly same height. 4 batteries.

Wider in one measurement. Rectangular. Much shorter at 3 in. 2, maybe 3 batteries stacked in a pyramid.

In the 1800mah front drawing you have the screen orientation backwards I believe. The readout faces the fire button side of the board.

As for the other one, all I can say is ... you may find the fit quite tight with the DNA board like that. For example it may not be possible to put the up/down buttons right over the board like that.

Im still waiting on my Dna boards. Ill probably have to change a ton of stuff once I start. I havent really accounted for wires yet either. Ill post pics of the build process. Ill probably keep the screen folded over the board in any build I choose to do. I would like to keep all buttons, charger, and screen on one side.

What i found is once you fold it back over the board as is the common method ... there isn't much play at all. The chip package takes up all the vertical space and pretty much all the slack in the cable. I'd go so far as to say it's best to think of the board and screen as unitized in that configuration.

I cant wait to get these boards in my hand. Evolv seems pretty slow at shipping.

Usually about three days out west here. So I would guess Wednesday

So if I ordered friday, they should ship wed? So I can expect it maybe friday/saturday then. Do they usually send tracking or ship without notice?

On another note, I love digikey. My 4th order and they always ship same day.

Thx bap

If your ordered late Friday probably wouldn't ship until Monday and I believe they ship priority and yes send tracking. But on one order I did order over the weekend and they didn't ship out until like Wednesday and came Friday or Saturday.

Which kinda sucks....but I will defend Evolv over and over again, because their customer service is among the best and will take car of you!

I just chalked it up to being very busy. Send them an email via their website and ask, they are usually pretty responsive.
