If it is any consolation, I ordered some supplies from another vendor that same morning and they still have yet to get here.

I feel okay now. I should have my boards tomorrow. I got the first 4 packages of parts today.

I ordered the last 3 silver 510 connectors from madvapes. Would have liked to get 6. Digi-key split my shipment for whatever reason, so I should get the rest of my switches and fuses tomorrow.

I have to throw away every snip and wipe every smudge while I work. Heavy OCD. At least my soldering iron stays immaculate though.

I wont get around to making my aluminum cases till the weekend. I have to work on it in the morning and night since summer weather in Phoenix AZ makes my garage unbearable. Plus my shop vac needs to be replaced. I think I will stop by harbor freight and home depot today and pick one up.

Any tips for working with aircraft aluminum blocks?

Im finished for the day. Had a minor set back. I started off with 1/8" wall thickness; roughly. That was super strong. Went thinner with 1/16, and that was strong also. Ended up at 1/20 and that also survived my vice. I only needed a tiny bit of room to add two more batteries making 5 total so I went to 1/32. All 5 batteries were in and I was at 4500mah. My vice ended up crushing the 1/32" walls. I will stick with 1/16 - 1/20 from here on.

Here is the last photo I took at 1/20"

Edit: i just realized that the screen and button cut outs look like...

Unintended I assure you.

Still havent slept. Made another case off the same template and I have all the internals held together with prototype putty. Everything is easily removed. Wanted to try it out. Also started on two more cases and making my own 510 connectors thanks to Baps.

I never really accounted for wiring in my designs. I was only able to do 2700mah, but hopefully that will last a day. Only one way to find out.

So Ive messed around with the prototype for a while, and I like everything about it except it knocks over easy (as bap said).

Going with a shorter fatter design. I think I will give a 3d printed prototype a run for a few days before I commit to building the case. My fingers are still raw from the first case.
