Someone gifted me some new 510 LR1.8 cartomizers and I am most grateful for the gift.
I do not know the brand. They are all sealed and were brand new in the box. Nice gift, isn't it? I thought so too! They came from ecigsupply.com. The guys at ecigsupply are the nicest fellows you'll ever meet. Sorry if I am speaking out of turn about another supplier here. I mean no harm, I just want you to know their origins.
I'm on my third one. I tossed the first two because I thought I was doing something wrong or they were spoiled orsomething.
The taste is nasty. It tastes like a combination of hot electrical and weed killer. You know that taste you get in your mouth when you spray the weeds in your yard. Imagine that with a slight electrical taste to it.
I am using my favorite juices and they are all vg based, as recommended on the website.
These same juices still taste fantastic with my cartridge and atomizer and when I drip them. So I don't think it is the juice. The taste goes to "Not Good" when I use this 510 LR1.8 Cartomizer and back to great when I don't use this cartomizer.
I have used this thing on my eGo.
I have used this thing on my BUZZ and tried every setting known to Buzz.
Has anyone here used these? What can you tell me about them?
Is there a problem you've heard about with this atomizer?
Is there a trick to using these?
As in almost everything I do, I am 100% sure this is operator error!! I am new to cartomizers. Perhaps cartomizers are not for me. I have watched youtube videos about them. I had a couple people show me how to use them. I read here on the forums about them. I must be missing something. Something I am doing wrong.
Any and all input is very much appreciated. I WANT these things to work for me. I really do.

LR attys are meant to be used on the regular e-cigs like the 510 etc. Those devices don't have a loaded voltage that gets that high. The Buzz only goes down to about 3 volts which I believe is to high for LR atties. They were made primarily so you could get the same vapor on a 510, 808 etc. as you could on a high voltage mod.

I remember (somewhere on the forum) reading that some cartos that were sealed had a nasty taste/odor to them and that people have opened the sealed package and the cartos and let them "breathe" for a day or two before using them with good results. I don't remember if they were the LR 510s or not...seems like they were, though.

Thanks, 5cardstud and Poeygizmo, for your help and responses. I also heard that the LR's should not be used on the Buzz. I was running out of options and ideas....so I decided to try it on my Buzz. Didn't work.
The idea of opening and letting them sit for a couple days sounds like a good idea. I had not thought of that. It can't hurt. It can not make the taste any worse. I'm going to try that.
But I'm giving them a break for a day or two. Need a couple days to get the taste and frustration cleared - LOL

so it is just a flavor issue ? you colud soak them in rubbing alcohol for a few days and try and get the primer out ? I never had any luck cleaning attys so ?
