This is my 100th post so i thought i would showcase my most recent successful mod.. I have since done a VV altoids box mod but it is pretty much unsuccessful so enough about that.. This was a stock chichi all chrome. with the aid of a dremel and a drill and lots of sanding and polishing and what not.. feast your eyes on what I like to call the Chichi - King Midas edition =]

Much better! You could get that smoother and it would hold it's shine better with age too. Some 180 grit followed by 600 and then 1500. 2000 for a mirror polish and maintenance. :)

I used 600 on the middle tube, bottom piece, and button.. then just buffed with polishing compound. next time im at the hardware store ill get 1500 & 2000

poland, and the brassy lands of google
How much sandpaper is needed just to remove the knurling using a drill? Looking forward to your pics after your done with your chichi

I would recommend using a file to remove the knurling and finish with sandpaper, it will go faster, be more precise and use less paper.

I screwed on an old hollowed out carto and placed just the top piece w/ carto and stuck a screwdriver in the carto so that it could spin.. then applied a dremel w/ grinding bit to knurling. the top piece spins on screwdriver and the knurling slowly disappears as it is warn down by grinding bit.. it was very quick and very easy.
