Good cheap OhmMeter &/or MultiDeter UK?

Hey!... I'm on my second multi-meter in the last 6months & this one is starting to play up aswell, i'm a cheapskate amd got my £10 worth from B&Q both time's, although the second was a refund!


I dont want to pay to much on a multimeter but i want to pay more then 10 quid this time, i was thinking of getting an ohm meter instead but i really need a multimeter to check my 18650 batt's as i run a mechanical PV so it is the only way i can tell how low they are, unless there are ohmmeter's that can check a 18650's voltage aswell?

any info is much appreciated

I got a basic one from my local hardware store. £3.99

I would suggest Maplins, but as they sold the same for £12.99 I wonder if they actually sell anything at a fair price. (??)

Amazon has got to be a good shout really.

This is the one i have and use it daily great for checking ohms just meter the leads out and subtract from your final reading. Some meters won't go low enough on the ohms but this one is fine.

I got a RAPITEST MAS830L for £11.75 on eBay, works fine.

i had a little looksie and i also decided i could do with a new charger aswell to replace the trustfire, that as an excuse to get a better one, i don't trust anymore, i noticed the xtar vp1 charger has a screen that tells you the voltage, so that would eliminate the need for a multimeter, and i have a Ωmeter ordered aswell which will give me a more precise reading than MMeter.

Between checking batt voltage and coil ohm's etc they get a lot of attention, will be nice to not babysit them all day long..
