Since I started vaping, I have ordered several juices that were highly rated, such as Clear Water from Vixen Vapor and a few from Pinkspot that tasted really good, I liked them. The problem was that they seriously burned my throat and nose. Not the throat/nose hit type of feeling, more like the pouring alcohol on a cut type of burn. I'm not sure about the ratio on these particular juices, but I try to stick to 70/30 PV/VG and I have had no problems from other juices. I think it may be something to do with the type of fruit flavoring. Anyone else have this issue?

How old are the bottles of liquid? Are they just out of the mail or have they been steeped? Im not quite sure why it happens but i experienced the same thing with some vendors. Im not sure if it could be the flavorings they used suspended in an Alcohol base or the nicotine they use. I've had some nicotine i use when i DIY that has a huge bite and it burns the throat sometimes. Usually steeping these liquids for some time mellows it out some. That may not be your issue but just throwing out some suggestions. Im sure someone else will have some other idea's but ill start you off on the right path for now. You can take the caps off for a day and after that maybe try giving it a hot bath (with caps back on of course lol) or just let it sit in a dark place for a week or 2.

I can't remember if I've had that problem or not. I found I only like simple flavors... fruits, menthols. I suggest you get some unflavored. I found I really like it and it's one of my daily vapes, along with a lite menthol. the fruits I drip when I'm playing on the computer, even they are too much for me all day long. I'm sure others with chime in with more helpful advice :)

I don't know what's in that/those juices but do know when I have the problem you describe. If it burns right off the bat and has a good TH its most likely the juice contains one or more of the various peppers. I can sometimes taste the pepper on the tip of my tongue but not always. I can pick up black pepper pretty fast but not the others like jabanero. I just know from experience what it does. Many vendors use pepper to increase TH so doing only fruits or deserts to avoid it doesn't work. I've run into it quite a bit since I like the more dry feeling juices and they often have it in them. Of course, cinnamon vaped too long will do it too. I know that's not your problem but just thought I would throw that in. That's a sad one for me as I love cinnamon.

I think I have figured it out! The culprit has to be melon! I got some Melon Yeti yesterday and I get the same effect in a slightly lesser scale, same with Rawr Cantemelon but not with Razzmazz. Thy has to be it

I can't chew spearmint gum, I tried some Spearmint juice that I was given and it too burned my nose and I a Killer sore throat x2 days. So our own body quirks carry over!!

I've had the same problem with watermelon and melon flavors, even a small amount in my liquids. I like the flavor but that burning irritation develops rather quickly. I just tried some watermelon again today because I really like the flavor but had to rinse out the clearomizer after a few vapes. I'm glad you've isolated it.

I love melon flavors too, it makes me sad lol. The Cantemelon and MelonYeti are delish so is Clearwater. The MelonYeti was the least harsh for me but it still made my nose burn and brought on sneezes. It's ironic to me that I can vape all the super strong cinnamons with no issue and a mellow melon makes me feel like I have been pepper sprayed! It's nice to know others share my pain, lol. BTW Gummybears from PS- same issue.

Good article... melons and ragweed which I think is responsible for "hayfever."

"When a fresh melon is eaten, a person may experience itching, burning, or stinging sensations of the mouth, throat and tongue. The symptoms generally last only a few seconds or minutes, as the proteins that cause the symptoms are broken down quickly by saliva. People with ragweed allergy may also notice symptoms of OAS with eating fresh bananas and cucumbers."
