Im with ninja, while it may seem like a good decision. Think of that lil plastic box getting slammed around when you have to hit the deck a few times or end up covered in mud or water.

Nothing worse then stressing out, pull out the vape, go click, click, click and see a nice error message on the screen. .or bullets wizzing by and the mod says check your coil cause the ohms wont set.

Almost everyone I know on the construction sites has switched to mechs for the durability you get out of a 15 dollar clone.
And most have another in the glovebox or tool bag if it breaks somehow.

Many still have nice mods at home or in thier vehicles. But the mech is for abusing at work.

Granted, if bullets are whizzing by, Vaping may not be the best thing to be doing at that moment... "Hey Akhmed, whats that fruity scented cloud over there? Shoot at it and see what happens!"

That was going to be my other suggestion, but I couldn't for the life of me think of the name. :) I would do some research on it first though.. first, I would make sure the threads of the 510 are stainless steel, and 2nd, the allen key needed to replace the battery might need to be swapped out somehow, since I'm sure it's next to impossible to find an allen key when deployed.

It depends what you are doing, but precision tools like small Allen wrenches, torx, and screwdrivers are almost a must have item when deployed. Without them, servicing weapons and gear are difficult.
More common in the field than in the household.

That's a very interesting DOVPO thingy :) Looks rugged as hell!

5 Amp limit! Due the math for your toppers and forget sub ohm. Looks like it will fire 1 OHM @ 16 watts/4 volts per grimmgreen video. Just depends what power you like to vape at. Very interesting mod so thanks for the posts.

Respectfully disagree with your comments. While the Reo is an excellent Bottom feed mod, the topper would NOT be waterproof and the Responses were based on Criteria established by the Op.
Deployment Location is but one part of a total picture. Foot Patrol vs Captains Cook, Motor pool or Fighter pilot, etc.

Good point about the deployment location only being one part of the picture. I'm in communications. Out in the rain, sand storms, digging trenches. Could be on foot patrols or in guard towers still.

Sand in the rda? You could literally dunk it in water, fire it a couple times, drip it and go. I don't understand your thought process nor the thought process in most of these replies. Have fun disassembling a kayfun or having your mvp button poop out or having an ipv stop reading atties. Iv seen it all. I'm not trying to be an ....... I sware. I'm just floored at all the here you should try this $50 mod that I love, this isn't about you it's about op. Unless you have expierence with extreme conditions I'd keep my recommendations to myself.

As far as sand in it being an issue its not something I want to deal with every time I want a vape. I don't want to have to worry about carrying around extra water everywhere I go. I don't want to have to dunk my rda after being up 24+ hours some days. I may have 2 minutes to take a few pulls and no more.

I dropped the kayfun as my choice when I found out the number of parts. Disassembling and reassembling an m16 would be easier than that thing!!! Faster too probably. Lol

Small suggestion - Knowing how unfriendly your deployment may be, perhaps a couple of choices both fitting of conditions(close as possible) and as Backup, Just in case.

Quite frankly, while Cartos are not great, they Can be capped with a Carto condom and fitted with a Drip shield to reduce likely hood of intrusion. Battery life would be maximized.

Flexibility according to On/off duty & location might be prudent.

All else aside, Be safe out there!

Got me thinking.. a host of small EGo's and ET-S's housed in cigar tubes when not in use… :2cool:

I'm going to second this guy. Expensive, but I tried one out, it works great, and you could probably beat someone to death with it in a pinch too.
I love that thing but it is so hard to pull the trigger on something so expensive that doesn't seem to have much of the latest tech. On the other hand, until temp sensing becomes more accurate and more prevalent among mods with the ability to use kanthal not much else I need in a mod. No matter how much I'm told it's safe I will NEVER use a toxic metal such as nickel in my coils. Lol.
And I LOVE the onboard rapid charging. I can roll out with a single battery then and a portable chArger with solar recharge capability and I'm ready to ROLL.
