Good Morning All,

There is actually a very light dusting of snow outside today!! It would be prettier without the gale force winds but....I'll take it!

Kitty...sorry to her about the flare-up. Have you ever tried cherry juice? I know someone who swears by it.
I hope it eases quickly.

Ty...that sounds like wonderful fun.

Larkfour...I hope you've recovered from your Mall of America experience. My family has accepted that I won't step foot in a mall and will only shop in our local neighbourhood. Luckily, there are lots of shops within walking or biking distance...a benefit of living in a big city instead of the burbs....

I have no baking to do this year.....everyone is on some sort of diet....so we're collecting and distributing warm socks for the many people who spend most of their time on the streets.

RedHen..I hope your hubby made it home safe and sound.

Swer...Have you got your shopping done yet? Any kids in your world that you get to buy for?

Annette....I hope you're getting lots of dancing done!

DH woke this morning and the temps were in the tens!!!

I haven't checked lately but hoping it's warmed up a little bit since the sun is out.

Good morning all!... It's fun reading about the Mall of America, shopping with family, baking, cold weather... Love it. I'm envious of those of you with winter weather! Enjoy!! ... It's been an extremely warm fall/winter here so far. Haven't had a freeze yet... The trees are confused and haven't shed many leaves yet. I still have some flaming red plum trees in the front yard. It's lovely.

I'm doing some last-minute shopping for my dear mom who can't... Some new toys & treats for her little parakeet.

Good Morning. Kittypie hope that nasty gout gets under control quickly this time! Waiting for a new order of KCM and included a mini nova to try. Should have added a new battery, in my holiday washing frenzy my washing machine ate one of my 650 mah egos, oops.

Ack, Larkfour, I lost a battery somewhere along the way today too! It was the red leather-look and it was a favorite. I'll probably order another one since the sale is good until the 25th. A little over $12 is a pretty good price for a 1100 mAh!

I ended up going to the Urgent Care to get a shot of Toradol. The FNP recommended cherry juice too, LouP, so I'll pick some up tomorrow for sure!

With the help of Toradol, I made a chocolate cake (from a box mix). baked a pumpkin pie (from frozen), and made some date nut bars from scratch. YUM! Tomorrow I'm going to make some gingerbread from Trader Joe's gingerbread mix.

Oh yeah, NEW MIX alert! I took some of my "Angel" mix and added some Death by Chocolate. Oooooowwweeee it is good, like a chocolate covered pillow mint

Got all the shopping done for the grandkids yesterday wth my daughter...told her we must have been crazy to even venture out to a store yuesterday, it was a mad house!

Ha ha, Ty, I'm sorry you had to endure that. I did a grocery store run already this morning in order to avoid the mad house. (LouP, I picked up some tart cherry juice and already had a glass!)

If I have time I'm going to make some jam thumbprint cookies today. This afternoon we're having dinner at my dad's and I'll have my yearly glass of red wine. I love red wine. It's probably a good thing I can't drink it every day.

Good Morning! Happy Christmas Eve. All the presents are wrapped and under the tree, a giant pot of homemade wild rice soup is simmering. My 3 adult children will be all coming home with their significant others. My engaged son and fiancé, my daughter whose boyfriend is home from serving in Afghanistan, and my oldest with her hopefully soon to be fiancé. I have put out 4 photo frames (in inconspicuous places) each with a bold handwritten note in the frame. Frame One says: "Grand Child #1". Frame Two says, "Grand Child #2". Frame 3 says, "Grand Child #3 and of course frame 4 is for "Grand Child #4". Hey, it's Christmas ... I can have as many wishes as I want . Happy Holidays Everyone.
